iPad support has made this so much better
Offbeatmammal on 1/10/2018
With very little fanfare this went for m a 1* to my new rating thanks to proper iPad support. So far also seems more stable
Can't call people in

Why change hangouts at all?
Needs Apple Watch app
wlorenzo on 1/3/2018
to quickly mute and I mute like WebEx
You can do it, Google.
nicolettesong on 12/20/2017
Friends, come on. If Meet was a hybrid option, we wouldn’t be having this conversation; but when the app is a must-download in order to join a call and it follows up with a slew of issues - it becomes a problem. 1) It won’t allow you to use the app like a phone, it’s speakerphone or nothing (makes for an uncomfortable Uber ride) 2) I plug in my earphones but without a mic, it’s unusable (this does not happen with my normal phone calls) 3) Even with full service, the call continues to cut out until there’s simply no point to go on (now it’s an uncomfortable team meeting) It frustrates me that Google forces you to download an app in order to use its services, but the app is what renders the service useless. Instead of looking at the services from a micro level, we need to view from a macro level and see how each service can support the other and not cut the consumer out. If you need an integrated manager, call me.

Please update to support iPad screen resolution!
Sloppy transition
crookedsquare on 12/5/2017
I hardly know or care why Meet is any different from Hangouts. But I don’t appreciate how they’re both kinda running in parallel, and I really dislike browser requirements to run in Chrome only.
Support iPad please
Plzdontkick on 12/4/2017
Too bad this does not support iPad. Works well in Chrome on Mac, but not useful at all for iPad users.
Could be SO much better...
Defiant254 on 11/20/2017
This app could be excellent. The technology is good, it’s stable and efficient. However, the fact that this is only an iPhone app is absolutely crazy. No iPad app makes this a deal-breaker for me. I do almost all of my remote work on an iPad, so this app just doesn’t get used. PLEASE make an iPad app.
iPad incompatible
Kiet T on 11/17/2017
The app scales down up to the iPad screen size
App not great
Robby on 10/31/2017
I love Hangouts meet on the web. It’s a little frustrating that it only works in Chrome, however when you use it in Chrome it’s pretty great. I love the idea of what google is going for. On iPhone it’s a mediocre experience. It’s an ok app that works well enough most of the time, but it feels like an afterthought. As long as it continues to be polished, I think it’s in good shape. The biggest problem is that it doesn’t have iPad support (and I want iPad Pro support). It’s kind of ridiculous that there is a meeting app that doesn’t have iPad and iPad Pro 13” support. That would be my biggest complaint on this app. I really hope they continue to aggressively push this forward. I would love to replace our other meeting platform within the company with Meet, but with things like this missing, it’s not something we can do yet.
Horrible on mobile
Nicobar2000 on 10/20/2017
Hangout was already sketchy on the go but Meet is even worst: I have to join meetings from my phone during my commute but unlike on desktop there is no way to disable video download, so I have to ask everyone to turn off their video otherwise I can’t hear them because it drops audio as it runs out of bandwidth. Also there is no way to switch the audio to use the internal speaker (hangouts could do that), so that I can hold my phone... like a phone.
IPad and iOS screen streaming support please
bigdaddy920 on 10/20/2017
I want to love this. On iOS for iPad this obviously would benefit being made for iPad. Toss in the new iOS 11 screen streaming and you guys will turn the iPad into a powerhouse
Google intentionally reduce features for iPhone users
Kingoufamily on 10/14/2017
Unlike other 3rd party conference apps, Google keeps key features only for Android OS. You can not zoom in when viewing somebody's presentation with iOS, but that feature is available for Android. Go-to meeting, WebEx, Skype for business, all have equivalent features for iOS and Android. Since Meet is used in corporate environment, individuals don't have a choice but to use this application for work. Google, stop degrading your apps and leave your OS war with Apple at the OS level and not victimize the users because the selected a non Android phone.
No iPad version
sethlong on 9/23/2017
That there’s no native iPad version is really inexcusable. We expect a lot more from Google, especially for a business-focused app.
No iPad Support
ygbr on 9/22/2017
Support for iPad is a must-have! Hangouts does support iPad and this is a serious oversight for something so simple to be implemented!
A business app that doesn’t support the iPad
MovieNightsNY on 9/20/2017
I found out about this app though a meeting invite I got from a co-worker at work. I’m not sure why they decided to make an app that does less than Google Hangouts supports less platforms than Hangouts. No native iPad support and the web version only works ok Chrome on OS X. Also I couldn’t get it to work with my Bluetooth ear piece.
Don't use on iPad!
10100111001 on 9/12/2017
Unless I run it in gross compatibility/zoom mode, the viewable area is not any larger than my phone. It blows my mind that an app dedicated to *paying enterprise customers* would not even carry over basic feature parity from the free version.
Please make an iPad version.
SudhsBuddy on 9/4/2017
Today's hangout meeting experience on the iPad is very poor.
Jazz is the best autobot lol14 on 8/16/2017
Hate it
Need an iPad app an telephone support
Echols85 on 7/16/2017
The app works pretty well on the phone, but we really need a more unified and mature platform for business use.
UI is a little buggy
Mike3292 on 7/11/2017
Weird notification pops up when you open the app that says "no such meeting." The bottom panel says "swipe up" to see more meetings, but you can only tap. Tapping it causes a somewhat jarring change in view, try animating it.
No chat
cmeynet on 7/5/2017
Without chat I can't share links to other people I'm meeting with. This is a huge pain for business meetings.
Doesn't work without wifi
markmarkoh on 6/8/2017
The new meet app will drop you from meetings unless you are on Wifi. Usually about 60 seconds into the call, no error message, just brings you back to the home screen.
Why another hangouts app?
Bdesilva on 4/6/2017
With the release of meet I now have three different versions of hangouts on windows and two iOS apps. Stupid. This does almost nothing to change hangouts and simply is confusing to everyone.
New app be careful
K. Farr on 3/24/2017
Not reliable yet, dropped without error message during meeting. Couldn't launch from calendar like old app via hangouts. Had to go back to desktop via chromed browser
Screen share
Loica123 on 3/19/2017
Please add the screen share feature for ipad.
