I was using this app for awhile now, and I noticed how high they’ve increased the pay. Before I would be about $2 Or about $3. Now it’s $6.50 for the fee. It’s honestly ridiculous and it just shows they just want more money and to rip people off. I could order something from McDonald’s and pay about $8. $10 max for what I usually order but with uber eats I pay more than $25 just for something simple with a small drink. Never using Uber Eats again because it’s fee is just ridiculous.
Worst Delivery based app!

Where to start? First off the app many times requires you choose items that are not necessarily required in order to fulfill the food selection; such as, the order “required” me to choose multiple toppings on a “one topping pizza” adding an extra $2 per additional topping (3x). Second, the app claims I have $10 dollars in my “promotions” tab however does not allow me to apply the promo when checking out. When I called “help” they did not “help” at all but actually pointed fault claiming the promo code I used is not a promo code that they support however it clearly shows the code is active under my “promotions” and even gives me a expiration date as well. I am not one to normally give out reviews but this app is comparably the worst delivery app available. Save the future headaches and download the Postmates app because they are clearly superior. Uber my advice is stick to what you do best or at least invest some time at the obvious flaws your app has before offering food selections to service your food vendors/parters.
No rhyme or reason to distance charges

Out of nowhere, the fees will jump from 2.99 to 5.69 and they use the reason “restaurant is a little far, so the booking fee is $x.xx.” The restaurant hasn’t moved, nor have I? Just say you’re inconsistent, ya don’t have to lie to the customer. It is convenient until it isn’t.

Let me start off by saying, I was a big fan of Uber Eats in the beginning and used it at least once a week up until recently. I will no longer be using it due to the increase in delivery fees. I use Uber Eats in a big city close to Seattle and have consistently been finding delivery fees that are in the $10-$25 range which is absolutely ridiculous. The app will even have these exorbitant delivery fees for restaurants that are only a few blocks away, which I find to be totally unacceptable. I will no longer be using this app, and if this price surging system doesn’t change you will lose a lot of customers.

I ordered UberEats about 3:52 pm and it usually says 25-30 min I’ve been waiting since 5:30 pm and still did not get any notification I’m very upset with this app including that this is my first experience with this company will recommend nobody to use it due to my problem I basically gave out money and food for free will also work on filing a report because basically I got robbed and scammed

Drivers jack the food all the time. Not trustworthy at all, go with a different company for delivery. I had a $50 order of food that my friends and I were expecting. The driver’s car never got close to my house and even though I shot a text message through the Uber Eats App, the driver “could not find” my address. Unacceptable at this day and age with the tech we have access to. Soulman’s I-30 Rockwall. Driver was “lizette” driving a black Chevy Malibu. If you get this driver, consider your goods stolen.

Order was incorrect and charges were more than order total. No way to call or contact and cannot delete card from account. Now I am charged more! I could not delete old card do we cancelled it. Now a new higher charge was taken from acct. Rip off. Will never use and will share my experience with all. Hate Uber eats.

I usually try to avoid ordering from Uber eats because the support team is literally incomprensible to everything Im saying BECAUSE OF THE LANGUAGE BARRIER like now i ordered something and the food didn’t even get to me because someone just accepted my Food and no number to call back driver and now every rep is saying their is nothing they can do because it’s been completed like seriously last bit of my cash and i get the short end of the stick for a misunderstanding Smfh

Support is no help at all and the number of restaurants are limited. I had an issue with McDonald’s (one of the only restaurants available) and Uber Eats basically told me they couldn’t help me and marked the problem as resolved. The restaurant didn’t have an item and told me to substitute it. I asked them to cancel the item and they told me they cancelled my whole order. They then told me to resubmit my order since they cancelled it. So I did just that. I then received 2 exact orders and was charged for both (even though they were still missing an item). I submitted a claim and and nothing was resolved. Never using this app again.

Amount of time you have to wait to recieve help is ridiculous makes you not even want the food anymore. In the time you wait for them to respong you might as well and go out and get your food yourself.

They make you scan your card now but their scan doesn't work for all cards. They mention that on the app but does not give you any other option. I used my credit card and scanned worked fine, but the order still did not place. Then I got a notification from my credit card company that the transaction was accepted, but it still did not show on UberEats. Their number is not found anywhere on the app so I have no way to resolve this. I wrote them a message on their app and they still have not read it. Great business idea, terrible service.
Only good if you want food late at night.

This app has given me so many headaches that if it wasn't the only thing that delivers in the middle of the night, I would deleted it long ago. For anyone who wants food at a normal time, stay away from this app.

If anything goes awry with an order, unfortunately you can’t expect their customer service team to respond quickly at all - and they make it as difficult as possible to reach an actual live person. Additionally, I’ve found them to be entirely comfortable lying so they can close out a ticket. I would strongly recommend using another delivery service.
Flawed infrastructure

The app functions fine but the service itself has a long way to go. Calling customer support, I learned that Uber Eats will not refund orders that are late until they are past the estimated delivery time. The trick is, THEY SET THE DELIVERY TIME. This also fluctuates with however late they are: if your delivery time is approaching, Uber will extend it without explanation or updating the status. Not much interest in enabling the consumer.

The worst customer service. Call them about my order and was told there is nothing they can do and that I will not be refunded. And hour and a half later and still no food. Really get your stuff together!!!!

I use uber eats almost every time I order food, good selection, usually not too long delivery. But I’m giving them a four star because there is always something wrong ether with the delivery or order. Like the delivery person carrying my pizza sideways ruining it, or the restaurant giving me a completely different item ( I know this isn’t the delivery persons fault but I wish the could check the receipt to make sure the times look right before delivering them.) still this is by far the cheapest and most convenient food delivery app I know.

I will never use this service again. I ordered an hour and five minutes ago, was originally quoted 20 mins. I called the restaurant and they told me the food has been sitting on the counter for a long time, no one has come to pick it up. Called customer service and she told me my options were to keep waiting and see if it eventually shows up, or I could cancel my order and still be charged for the food I never received. I am absolutely livid that I would be charged for food I never received. I am late for an event at this point as I should have never had to wait more than an hour for food that has been prepared and sitting out on the counter of the restaurant. Absolute garbage service.

So I was looking to use Uber eats. I made a mistake and push send to a restaurant. I cancel the food within three second of hits the send button. I was told by Uber eats I can’t a refund on my money that was taking out of my account. I am like what it’s was literally one minute from. Like really won’t be using them again. THEY DONT GIVE REFUND

I placed my first Uber eats order, while on my way home from a long trip knowing their was no food in my fridge. At first, awesome. Placed my order, restaurant immediately accepted. Then I noticed the delivery time was dynamically shifting further and further out. No notification, no reasoning. By the time it had been pushed out 40 minutes past the original delivery estimate, I called Uber because the app wouldn’t let me cancel without indicating I might still be charged. The call center informed me that there were no drivers in the area, the restaurant was now closed and there was no other option than to cancel. They acknowledged this was a terrible customer experience, but didn’t offer any compensation to try again. This is a great example that illustrates technology doesn’t matter, if you are unable to operationally execute. Uber eats fail.
Canceling an order doesn’t work

Good luck canceling an order even by mistake. There is no delay or order confirmation beforehand. Once you put something in the list, there’s no way to remove it. If you hit the cancel button immediately after you hit order, your screwed, you have to call customer service and get a lecture about placing the order. It’s a joke..... deleted the app, not worth the hassle until they get it sorted out.

Every time I use this service my food is late or incorrect. I’m out of town for business and didn’t want to go out so I decided to try one more time and order through them out of convenience. As usual my order was delayed twice and my food arrived cold. I called customer support and Nash the representative told me I had to call back after my food was delivered. I then proceeded to call back after my food arrived late and cold and was told by Matthew, the supervisor of that horrible customer service center that there was nothing they could do at this time. Horrible customer service from Ubereats, save yourself the headache and use another food delivery service because this one is horrible.
