I use this 24/7 and does everything it says it can do
A stepping stone into VR
Tae Kwon Do Tom on 5/2/2018
Overall, the app is amazing. It’s easy to use, and addicting for those of us who live in picturesque places. However, a few things that might be added in future updates are: - Compass calibration - Ability to look (and thus record) up and down
No audio since iOS 11
clintcornfield on 4/13/2018
I'm with the other folks who are having issues; since upgrading to iOS 11, this app won't record audio. Please fix it!
Not for iPhones
Kmlydy on 3/2/2018
I’ve had this app for months and I have yet to take a panorama picture that includes sound. I have searched and tried every available trick to get the sound to come through but to no avail. This app works on android phones but not on iPhones. Sad.
Compatibility issues
Otteroo on 2/24/2018
App cannot seem to find my 360 pic s in google photos. This is why I downloaded it the first place. You would think two google products would be compatible. Apparently this is not the case. SMH.
How to capture 4 pi steradian VR pics
MikeFoscam on 2/20/2018
Yes it's 360, but we live in a 4 pi steradian world. I can't see the top or bottom of my VR pics.

No sound
leadoffdouble on 2/3/2018
I thought this app recorded a soundtrack as well. If so, something broke. I have no sound on the 8 Plus. The inquiries on the web are going unanswered.
Love the app but sound not working.
aldosjsjshicjZgjsjfsif on 1/15/2018
The app is great I thought it was the best thing ever, but there is one problem. The sounds on the pictures aren’t working. Please fix this.
No longer records audio
Sonshyne on 1/10/2018
This app no longer records or plays audio for VR panoramas that are captured since updating to iOS 11. A fix would be much appreciated, Google.
Good but one problem
This is a 🤖😼 on 12/29/2017
The app overall is amazing and it is incredible to be able to revisit photos in VR. (I use a Merge 360 viewer if you’re wondering) My only problem is that the audio won’t record, even if I restart the app or my phone. I’m not sure if it’s because of the new IOS update or not but until it’s fixed I highly recommend it!
Won’t record audio since iOS 11
Blacknoi on 12/1/2017
I can record 360 pictures no problem, but it no longer records audio since having iOS 11. There simply is no sound. 3 stars due to this. Otherwise 5 when they fix.
Sound not working
FeqFlyer on 11/30/2017
Since the update to iOS 11 the app won't record sound with the picture.
Wow
MARRRRRIIIIIIIIO on 11/16/2017
This is just simply amazing. The fact that it can take a straight panorama and convert it into a virtual reality experience with audio is jaw dropping. I can now tell people that I did something, and they get to experience it like they're really there.
Good, but lacking
WildWestFire on 10/28/2017
It’s cool, but lacking. I cannot load a cardboard photo after I edit it with skitch (mountain peak names for example). Say’s it is not a crime picture, even though it was originally created with cardboard. Need the ability to import existing panos please.
No audio
Gugs-n-Hugs on 9/28/2017
Not sure but the app won’t record audio anymore.
awesome
Mani Jalali on 9/15/2017
its really good, waiting for 360x180 photos ;)
Very good but can be better
t3hr4n on 9/9/2017
It's really good! I use it for making virtual tours! 2 problem I like to be solved in new updates, 1- light of the photo is based on your start point, so when you are in a room and making photo from outside the windows, the room part shows dark (if your start point be the outside). 2- what about up and down? It's cool if we could make 360x180 photos!
Not importing 2:1 jpgs
Ferrety2006 on 6/19/2017
I selected to import photos, however, it states "No new VR photos" and no images are imported. If I can only use the google cardboard camera to take the photos, that just bites and makes this a locked in, one trick wonder type of app. I am hoping this will change.
Simple Place ReImmersion

Imagine reEnjoying the views of a place you choose with everything in it (sound included).
Pretty cool
roll-dog on 5/17/2017
I was pretty amazed when I viewed a few photos I took because it almost looked 3D, some items looked as if they were on different planes. My only complaint was that in the settings, the exposure lock didn't seem to hold the aperture I was trying to expose for so I got some variable exposure banding but other than that, I thought the app was super cool!
Simply Amazing
Nanospork on 5/4/2017
This app does take full 3D photos with just a single camera lens - it's not a simple 360 panorama. That in itself is pretty incredible, but the decision to include sound really helps to enhance the atmosphere. I don't see 3D video being possible with a single lens any time in the near future, but the ability to capture a single moment in time in 3D is downright incredible in itself. If you have a Cardboard or any other mobile VR viewer, you owe it to yourself to try this out!
Hmm
guyguymandude on 5/3/2017
I wish there was a way to record an entire sphere, so the top and bottom of the images aren't blurred. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? This app is cool, but could be so much better!
Doesn't work
Tberes103 on 3/25/2017
Doesn't work when switch to goggles. Picture disappears.
This app Rocks

I have seen a lot of my friends photos of there trip. It's feels like I'm there to. So cool love this google.
Not for Whiners
JazzCritic on 1/15/2017
Guys, here's a free app that can take 3DVR images with a single lens. How could you give this any fewer than 5 stars. It's near magic. Ratings aren't for app feedback. If you want google to abandon this app, keep giving it two stars. If you want them to improve it, give it a better rating and use the proper feedback channels to communicate with the developer.
Won't pair
©hase on 12/31/2016
The app is pretty useless when it doesn't pair to my viewer
A Good Start! to the future of photography
Ginotonix on 12/30/2016
I used this app with iphone 6 on travels to make more immersive vacation photos. The limitation is in the limited wide angle lens of my phone and the strange effects that come from moving objects during the time of the capturing of 360^ photos. But the result is breathtaking when done right. I do think that this is the future in photography in the sense of emotion carrier. High quality art photo will remain but this will replace holiday snapshots for sure! Give it a try! The app itself can be developed and polished, but i hive it 5 stars for bringing VR to the masses.
Crashes right away
Eric Wilder on 12/26/2016
Whenever I try to view an image it crashes. Please fix.
Doesn't create a true VR image
Bridgecross on 12/25/2016
I thought you'd be able to make a true spherical experience. This basically takes a 360 panorama and converts it to VR format, which is fun. But you can't look up or down past a certain angle.

Nice app
GalvmanNinja on 12/20/2016
This works with my iPhone 7plus, but my viewer has no buttons to select forward and back. It would be nice if I could use my Apple earbuds for a single click.
Looks interesting but always crashes
Ailurophile23 on 12/11/2016
It looks like a really cool idea, but whenever I try to view a 3D photo, it always crashes midway through the “place your phone into your Cardboard viewer” animation. I hope this is fixed soon!
everything works except cardboard camera
caudillmiller on 12/6/2016
This app is really awesome and makes you realize the power of VR. Taking photos in the traditional photo sphere using portrait mode works as expected. Viewing 360° photos with and without a cardboard headset works great. The only thing that seems to be consistently broken is the Cardboard Camera (the icon in the top right-hand side of the start screen). The loading screen shows briefly, then it crashes. I've tried to uninstall & reinstall, but haven't been able to get it to work. Once that works, this will be perfect.
Works great!

Useless on iPhone 6 & Cardboard
flyfishcyclist on 11/26/2016
App instantly crashes when trying to utilize cardboard. Screen insert into cardboard then instant crash.
Crashes on tap
Micky323232 on 10/12/2016
As soon as I tap the cardboard button the app freezes. This app literally does not work whatsoever.
Works as advertised!!
PaulSchroeder on 10/10/2016
It sounds like voodoo or too good to be true but it actually does work. It's easy to take pictures and set up the cardboard viewer. Definitely quite a bit of fun!!!
Easy to use, missing top/bottom
BroDro2 on 10/6/2016
Great quality photos, but you can't add too and bottom views.
Easy app pictures for Google Cardboard
Utrecht1011 on 10/4/2016
This app is easy to operate. Just open it up, take a 360 panoramic picture, click Google cardboard icon and you can see it. You can upload it to your photos and import from your photos. The stitching at the end needs some work. Hopefully the next revision will add a smoothing function. Please add video function. Also allow for easy search and import of other compatible photos.
Good concept
Kathrynelise.art on 9/28/2016
I liked how i could take a photosphere in google streetview but it is hard to find a photo app that is just meant to take vr photos. Thats why i liked this concept but it doesn't do the photosphere. I like the addition of the sound with the picture but this does nothing more than take a panorama. My phone already has panorama built in so why make an app that just does that? And the 3D is neat in the sample pictures but you cant take those with the phone. Or at least i don't know how you would without having two cameras? So this is just a place to view 2D panorama pictures with looped sound in a vr viewer. If they incorporate the photosphere then ill be more interested.
PLZ ADD!
Sethgrenwillo25 on 9/28/2016
GREAT APP I would like to start off with! Even though the app is new, They should add a full top to bottom VIEW! Google plz add "- CYCLORAMIC-" to the app so you can get a larger and perfect 180 view with no wobbles in the picture. PLZ ADD! -THX
Amazing photos
Panoramageek on 9/21/2016
And so easy to use!
A Good App
Derperdude on 9/17/2016
This does everything it says it does pretty well. I'm glad Google finally brought it to iOS.
BEST APP EVER
MikeIsAwesome on 9/14/2016
This app is so cool it works great it is amazing especially if you go on interesting places like the top of a big snowy mountain or something it is so cool!!!
Love Cardboard Camera
Real music, not theatrics on 9/12/2016
I have loved using Cardboard Camera on my Galaxy S7 Edge, but have been anxiously waiting for it to arrive on iOS for my 6S Plus, mainly so I wouldn't have to carry 2 phones when I knew I was going to want to capture photos in a VR app. If you have cardboard, or any other VR viewer, this app is a must have. It makes the photos you take on vacation or once-in-a-lifetime locations that much more special. Great work Google!
Extended panorama
Dhimanss on 9/12/2016
Extended version of pano
That's amazing.
FireLineStudios on 9/12/2016
I'm blown away with the 3D aspect or this camera... It's actaully creating a depth Map and applying it to the Monoscopic photo and, when inserted into a Cardboard "player", displays very believeable 3D images. I've found that having a Cardboard device that allows you to adjust the position of the lenses (The interocular distance) really helps sell the effect. Really fine work kids. You're really kicking A**.
Works very well, genuine 3D
jphilanth on 9/12/2016
I was expecting the "dome"-style photo result often produced by 360 content that doesn't have depth - but on the contrary, stereoscopic depth is indeed recorded in your images and looks excellent on the result. The only significant limitation is a narrower vertical view than one might desire, but it is minimized by choosing your photo locations with that restriction in mind.
