Pineal gland

Why is the pineal gland missing it is even mentioned
drneurosci on 6/29/2018
I have successfully used the app in neuroscience courses as a supplemental aide. It is very helpful to students. Today I was informed that an upgrade was available for a .99. Certainly, I selected the upgrade immediately. I have not spent a great deal of time today with the app. Perhaps I am confusing this app with another resource—IT IS after all, Summer term! Here is my concern, although the visuals and the 3 D rotations are —as always— excellent- along with showing sub systems in relation to major brain components, all very good, with clear taxonomy-I seem to be missing the brief information on the functions of the varied parts of the brain. Please clarify , am I associating this feature and the information I expected to see with another resource entirely or is there a navigational step that I am missing on the upgrade ? Thank you kindly!
Where is the back button?
cezargiosan on 6/11/2018
Good app, nice 3D rendering. I think the app UI could be substantially improved by a simple "back" button. Now, once you move to another section (e.g., by following a link) there is no way to quickly get back to the previous one. Instead you have to go to the main screen, and start again from there. And that time adds up quickly.
Go to for brain injury and strokes
mas I am on 4/27/2018
I have used this on Android and IOS. This app shows you areas of injury. It explains what each part of the brain does and gives examples. It is well worth getting.
4.5 stars
Language15 on 2/22/2018
It would be perfect if there was a place to quiz us over different parts of the brain and their function.
Excellent and fun
Amararata on 11/14/2016
Great app.
Overall not bad
DocBB10 on 11/8/2016
Includes a lot of information and helps with visual placement of structures. Would be better if they had option for axial and coronal views and if they could label cranial nerves.

This app is very helpful when learning the different parts of the brain. It will show you where everything is located and give you a brief description of what it does.
Love it

Use it for psych. 10/10
Very informative, easy to use!

I'm a student learning about the nervous system for Science Olympiad, and let me tell you, this is a fantastic tool for getting to know the brain. It has information about the different parts of the brain and has options for labels. It's also pretty easy to learn how to use. The only issue is that the images are a bit low resolution, but that's not even that bad, and the pro version has better resolution. Overall, awesome learning app.
AWESIME said on 6/28/2016
I love this app :D It's very useful and allows you to see the different sections of the brains such as the temporal lobe. In addition, it also provides information about each part.
serena3005 on 3/2/2016
The best. Helpful app
Great app for neuroscience students!
Blake'ss on 1/28/2016
I'm taking a neuroscience class and this app makes the brain and its parts easy to learn. It's mostly on simple terms and the visuals really help! The only criticism I have is it can be hard to press certain labels of the brain without accidentally flipping to the next page. But it's still a must have app!
So helpful!

This app is perfect for the visual learner and so easy to work! If you're looking to learn about the brain, this app is a great place to start.
Academic and medical
Gregor4life on 1/6/2016
This app is excellent for medical students and neuroscience majors wanting to get an intro to functional neuroanatomy in an easy to visualize way. Not only does the app come with interesting examples of case studies correlated to each part of the brain, but it also has links to relevant, scientific articles for each area. Amazing resource. Thank you.
Good basic app

Thanks for all who make this app
Oh my god! This was worth the dollar!

I am a about to get my bachelors in psychology and I wish I had this as a freshmen. Looking at this makes mapping brain structures a breeze. If I ever go on to teach this will be coming with me. I know I will have to show my professors this amazing find.
You need a brain for school

This was a fantastic resource for learning the brain and it is exactly what I needed for my school project👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Phenomenal experience
Watevz on 6/24/2015
Will be upgrading With this app, learning the brain was an enjoyable experience and certainly easier than reading in the textbook
Cait.thegreat on 6/6/2015
Truly an amazing app. I was inspired to be a neurologist because of this app!
AmyNel22 on 5/20/2015
I love this app, the only thing I can complain about is when I try to open the Labels, it crashes. I'd love to see more in-depth descriptions of the interior structure, but great study aid for my degree!
The 3D Brain makes my diagram look pathetic
Andreaishh on 3/13/2015
I have learned so much about the brain through this app that when times were difficult for me to remember some terms made it seem a waste of a time. This app is sufficient for any type of majors and I would know since being a psychology major made this app quite intriguing. I will use this app more often now to understand a little more where impulses are beginning and cannot wait to learn more in detail.
It is not upgrade, but downgrade!
Retriever Shepherd on 2/4/2015
It is not worth of upgrading!
Great informative app- but...
OhWoAh on 12/3/2014
This app works wonders for those wishing to absorb knowledge and further increase their arsenal of psychology info- buuut, on the flipside i was expecting much better graphics- and a far smoother transition when moving the 3D models- it didnt really feel like the actual graphics of the models had changed when i spent money to upgrade. If that can be improved with an update- then that would be awesome! Great app otherwise!
Strongflower on 10/31/2014
This application is FANTASTIC! I have been using this app for 4 years and I still think it is the best app out there! It gets better with each update! I require my students to download and use for class!
Simple and sweet
JustNAct on 10/29/2014
I'm a 35 year old grad student taking an intro course in neuroscience. Within five minutes, after flipping the 3D model around and reading the descriptions, I finally made some connections about the hypothalamus that I've never been able to make after all these years staring at boring illustrations in textbooks. I got more excited about learning this stuff so I figure that's worth five stars at least. The notes are very good too and thank god written in language I can understand. So thank you for a great app.
revision of previous review
mkpdp on 9/6/2014
l got help from support, reloaded it three times, spent a lot of time on it, it works now. Haven't used it much yet,, appears to have a lot more information than original, the graphics not quite as good. It's a good app, but if I had known, think I would've stuck with the original.
Nice app
parent2001 on 6/2/2014
We have used 3D Brain many times with kids. Very informative. Nice 3D views.
Great app but needs a tweak
Merdol144 on 5/21/2014
Great app but the Whole Brain Structure doesn't appear since I upgraded. Please fix. Other than that, it's an awesome app an VERY helpful!
Circle of Willis
Njcwgirl on 5/1/2014
Love to show the diagram of the brain to my stoke patient families. They are able to visualize the brain much more clearer. Big drawback where are the main blood vessels in the brain like the circle of Willis??!! Would give this app 5 stars if it was included.
Good but can't quiz self
Leigh421 on 3/8/2014
This app would seriously improve if you could go into quiz mode and not have all the names and labels pop up all over the place. Having them on both the top and bottom of the screen makes it hard to try and test one's knowledge.
Updgrade is a Downgrade
ThreeTop on 2/28/2014
What happened? This was one of the first brain anatomy apps - simple but the best in its simplicity. The upgrade does not function the same as the original, and the graphics appear worse.
AP psych Test
ThaneAndrew on 2/27/2014
This was literally better than the AP psych textbook and the slides my teacher showed.
Very disappointed
Anna Panzarino on 2/25/2014
I'm very unhappy with the upgrade, I want to know how I can get my old version back.
PathMax on 1/18/2014
Thank you.
Great app for students in the medical field

As a pre-nursing student I appreciate the visual and informative aid created by the developers to learn more about the brain.
I like it

It is useful i like this app
Love it!
NYCbs on 11/6/2013
Bought this to accompany my reading of a neuroscience text book. Navigating the brain on this app while reading the book definitely enhanced the experience, allowing me to learn the material more quickly. Definitely recommend! Would totally pay for more interactive functionality. Perhaps such things could be added a la carte (.99 to 1.99 a piece)? Maybe add diagrams of motor neurons, interneurons, and glia? Charge for quizzes and flashcards? Great app!
An update
Wee Meggie on 11/5/2013
It might be helpful to note that wernicke's area is also associated with "hearing voices."
Wish I had this in Med School
gila123 on 11/2/2013
This is just what I could have used in neuroanatomy all those years ago. Really helps me visualize the structures. Love the extra text info and studies. I'm pleased with the update. Thanks.
Very useful app
Argo kay on 10/29/2013
I love this app. Explains all the details of the brain. Use all the time.
Very useful and learning
Pankush on 10/29/2013
Information is really very helpful and very much updated. This app is helping in my research.
Good app, not worth the "upgrade"
RJK5 on 10/29/2013
The new version provides higher res images, but only until you pinch-and-zoom. Then they're very pixelated and blurry. I was really hoping the high-res would apply to the zoomed-in images. Some of these structures are very small requiring zooming in. If they can upgrade those it would be worth it.
It is improved
macinsetex on 10/28/2013
I'm a little old charge nurse on an LTACH unit. It helps me puzzle through radiographic studies. Fascinating reading. Good job.
