It's really improved!
TheFancyRascal on 7/17/2018
I love the way the commercials are now it's really more enjoyable than the limited listening time. Something I would like request is if users can put playlist in a folder because I have different fandoms I like and make playlist of.
Love the app!
Lugia227 on 7/15/2018
I just wish I could see all of my favorited tracks. It only shows the 20 most recent tracks currently.
Great way to explore
nanafet on 7/11/2018
I really feel like this is a super interesting and fun way to discover new music, and the app runs really smoothly for that. However, the experience is only half available on mobile- I'd really like to see an update happen where users can also publish and create new playlists on a mobile platform.
The app itself is a piece of crap

Always crashes
Not for alternative dark music fans seeking new stuff

Decided to try it based on the many 4-5 star ratings. Biggest annoyance: just installed, before the first track, you need to listen to a 30 seconds ad :-( Playlist: you get zero information about the tracks included. Track information appears as it begins playing... Fine... after skipping the first 3 (I own them, and not interested in listening to what I already have in my library, definitely not with a 30 second ad interruptions), a message appears, saying, you can't skip more than 3 tracks.. Okaaay... Switched to another Playlist. Before it begins, you get a bonus! 2 x 30 seconds ads!!! Thank you, but I'll stick to online radio and SoundCloud, at least with the later, I can select a song I haven't heard before. My Score: LAME!

I have been using 8tracks since 2013 & it’s still my go to for listening to music. It was where I first discovered artists like Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, & The Neighbourhood. Hands down worth paying for the plus! Love listening on my phone or on the website when I’m on my computer.

Been a user since they began Great playlists they always help pick for any audience I have over!
Used to be the best music source ever
Rodeorogue on 6/29/2018
Seriously. I used to swear by this as the one place to get music. I still want to. But now it’s so overrun with ads. And before anyone wants to mention the subscription, I paid for it. And it made no difference. Just like everything else that used to be quality, it’s devolved into a relentless ad monster. It’s still great for music, as long as you’re ready to pay money AND be solicited to.
8tracks is my favorite app
cmp621 on 6/28/2018
I’ve been listening through 8tracks for a few years now and I must say that it is my all time favorite app for music. I tried other apps but nothing really compared. 8tracks really cares about its community, and listens to its concerns. I have never had a way to listen to music that so perfectly fits my mood before I had 8tracks. There are playlists for literally everything. I’m sad that 8tracks is not yet available outside of the U.S. & Canada, but will continue to use 8tracks for as long as possible!!! Thank you for creating such a fulfilling music experience. 😄
Always come back to this
Pi3Lover on 6/15/2018
I am am an expert introvert. I have always used, and still use, music as an escape/way to connect with people and eventually grow into that. Still to this day, I always come back to this app for music. I have been using this since I was 14 and I’m now 21 and excited to be expecting my first child with my fiancé.
The Fall of 2014 and 2016
Lockdown_Typer94 on 6/11/2018
2014 was the year where many software and applications started to become owned or influenced by Google. Take YouTube for example, it was an independent video streaming source of an internet sensation where everyone could be heard and seen. Many websites had changed their styles to look more like Google and some even made partnerships with them. I seriously miss the days when I didn’t have to hear “login with gmail.” In addition, I have always loved the styles of the own independent websites e.g: square profile pictures and not circle, font in text not being changed, not having to see a community become a part of Google or some of their ideas. I miss 8tracks being that way. The structure used to be better. If there is any reason why so many programs are becoming influenced by Google, I would like to know. I miss the old design and setup from 8tracks where I didn’t need to get a subscription to listen to music. I felt like I was apparently forced to make a billing payment to listen to be best music I couldn’t find anywhere else. Hopefully, I would like to see more of the “classic” return. As for Google, it turns out that Google likes to use any benefit or hidden opportunity from their users to make a business out of something with a subscription that would eventually take money from their pockets. Like the time in the fall of 2016, where Apple could not longer get their users to listen to the YouTube version of Safari in the background. The music would cut right away. They did this for business and YouTube Red could tell you that. Also, it turns out that iOS 11 was a terrible update for the Safari version of 8tracks. Once I lagged or it rained, or I even forget to unlock my phone to listen to the next track since it won't play it with my phone locked, it skips the next track, until I see get a noticed telling me I reach the skip limit when I haven’t done it at all.
Pretty good
HeyListenToThis! on 6/9/2018
I’m glad that 8tracks doesn’t limit listening hours anymore. It’s a great app to discover new music if you don’t mind occasional ads.
JunkEnoshima on 6/4/2018
it's very nice but i miss the timer for the end of playlist!! please bring it back :(
I am back
Crumpers on 5/21/2018
Started listening to 8tracks 5 yrs ago and left but I am now back due to I see you guys brought back unlimited listening with ads.
Isabel7218 on 5/18/2018
Since they added the ads that pop up after every 3 songs it’s not worth it. Don’t waste your time
Thank you!
Velvetchrist on 5/17/2018
I was a long time user until you guys switched to a paid service. Thanks for bringing back the good old days of great free playlist.
Huge potential for major music finds
tikistand5525 on 5/16/2018
A beautiful concept and service. The app itself can be buggy or seem to have some weird input lag, but other than that the service is great. I’ve discovered so much more music I’ve loved than Pandora, Spotify, or Apple have ever shown me.
LOOK YO. on 5/2/2018
I have been a fan since 2012 of this app however I have watched it plummet to the ground over time. Ads are annoying, a lot of glitches, not as many uploaders, this app is a great idea and very useful, just frustrating to use. Currently the login screen is having errors. Fix this.
Fav app, until...
Lol_Punkie on 5/2/2018
I was listening to one of my playlists I made, and then next song stopped playing. It wouldn't let me play the next song at all. I force quit the app, then opened it again, and it kept saying there was an issue loading my account. It kept saying this over and over, and then finally loaded my account, but then said there was an issue loading playlist/track information on every single playlist I tried listening to. Updated the app to see if that would fix it, but now it won't let me in at all, saying "Oops! We had trouble loading your account". Never had this issue before. It's my fav music app so I hope this gets fixed soon.
Love it, a lot.
MikeSe86 on 5/1/2018
8Track has gotten me and continues to get me through long nights of studying. That’s deserves 5 stars. Overall, it’s a great app/site and it helps me expand my music interest with the random playlist. I really love 8Track.
great app! but some issues
makky923 on 4/30/2018
i absolutely love 8tracks- its been my go-to music app for years, especially during hard times in my life. i love the playlists, the people, the overall idea. however, i’d love it considerably more if we had the ability to create and edit our collections on the app, not just online. it’s a bit of a pet peeve of mine, especially since i usually use 8tracks on my phone. also, i have one problem. when i upload a profile picture to my account, it vanishes! i’ve tried numerous times, but it never seems to work. anyways! thank you for making 8tracks. hoping to keep loving it!
App not supported in USA?
HarryPottergirl:) on 4/26/2018
I opened my app this morning and it said it was no longer supported in my country, but when I went onto read more it said that the app could still be supported in the US and Canada. I live in the US so I don't understand why the app isn't working for me. I pay for a subscription so please fix this problem!
Emilycook456 on 4/24/2018
The app is stuck on the beginning loading screen 😭fix it please
Too many ads
BEST SONG EVA<3333333 on 4/23/2018
i love using 8tracks and i have been off and on for a few years now, but i feel like the amount of ads has gotten out of hand. i understand that ads are important for revenue and everything but it’s to the point where i’m getting two ads after every or every other song, it’s really nerve wracking :/
Has problems
BrookeAnaKing on 4/22/2018
I love this app and everything, but somethings need to be fixed and added to make this worth $5 a month. 1st I can’t upload my profile pic (no matter what picture I use) which is REALLY frustrating and 2nd you should be able to make playlists on the app as well and not just on the computer. Also, it’s really annoying to have to go to your computer when you have the app right there in your hand. You should also be able to edit your profile on the computer site too (don’t know if you actually can though, I’ve been looking and haven’t found any button for it). So yeah....other than that, pretty good app.
GeeGal on 4/21/2018
I am locked out of my account and I don’t see an option where it says FORGOT password.
I should have known better
FasilKumran on 4/20/2018
I should have known better to update this app. Now it’s longer commercials that you can’t close. The only reason unlimited play is back is because so many people have deleted this app and I hope many more leave it. The people that created new content have fled. All I see are old lists.. sad that you ruined something so great. Hope you all had a good chance to cash in.
Not available in my country? I’m in the US.
Jhoan412 on 4/20/2018
I tried launching the app but it says that the streaming service is not available in my country while I’m on WiFi. I’m NOT using any VPN.
Pretty awesome :)
Chswdg on 4/18/2018
As a user of 8tracks for many years, I’ve been with this app through all the growing pains and I’m so excited to see them coming out on the other side of things unscathed. While many other apps may have given into the temptation to chase dollar bills, 8tracks has hung on to the virtues that made it a great app in the first place- namely putting music and users first. However above all, 8tracks actually listens to its users and seems to be working extremely hard to provide improvements and changes based on the feedback from its users. I absolutely love that. Barring some massive change, 8tracks will remain my go-to app for listening to my favorite playlists and searching for new music :)
Really like it
MilliMaru on 4/16/2018
Enjoy finding songs here that I wouldn’t otherwise know about, like being able to look up by tv show, book or whatever. Wish I could listen to certain playlists more than once in an 8hr period.
Super sad
Just... No. on 4/15/2018
I have a lot of good playlists saved and have always loved listening to music off the app because I could discover new people easily. However with this weird one hour limit FOR A WEEK (emphasis on one hour for one week... 7 days... one hour)
Thank you 8tracks!
Xxmissalicia on 4/14/2018
This has been my all time favorite music site/app since 2009!!! (before the ads!!!) This is where I would go to get lost... to find new music, my favorite artists have been discovered here. THANK YOU so much for bringing back unlimited listening time! I’m so excited to start discovering new music again. One tiny suggestion: when searching for playlists using the tags can there be an option on how the playlists are filtered? Sometimes I wish I could pull up playlists that are brand new, just added. I can’t seem to figure out a way to do that! Thanks for everything!!

Perfect on WiFi, Doesn’t Work on Data
symphonietta on 4/7/2018
I’ve been using 8tracks for years, making and sharing tons of playlist. The desktop and mobile versions are great except one thing, when I leave my house and don’t have access to data, I constantly get a notice that there’s something wrong and it can’t play music. I wanted to upgrade to unlimited listening, by if I can’t listen outside of work/home i.e. when I’m driving on road trips, I don’t think I will. Is this just me??
Finally bringing back the unlimited ad music
cheesefortheun on 4/6/2018

It’s Great
Kaserl on 4/6/2018
I love this app, even with the decreased number of new playlists since a lot of people jumped ship after the listening limits were imposed. I have a Plus subscription, though, and plan to keep using it as long as I can. My only real issue is that the option to stop playback at the end of a playlist was recently removed from the mobile app. I used that particular sleep timer every time I listened to a playlist, and using the app without it is a little annoying. I’d love to either have that sleep timer back or an option like on the website to automatically stop playback at the end of every playlist.
Do plus subscribers have to listen to ads?
DarkaLarka on 4/5/2018
I just got your email about the new free listening and I’m hoping the answer is no. I use 8tracks when writing and drawing so to suddenly hear an ad will kinda break my focus. I haven’t been using the app as much with little time for it so I haven’t tested it yet but I’ve been a plus subscriber for over a year now so I hope I don’t have to hear the ads! (Though yay for you guys!! I’m glad you’re on the up and up I love you guys)
I missed 8tracks
jessiuss on 4/5/2018
I redownloaded this app cause i heard they got rid of the pay to listen stuff but i cant even log in. I tried to log in with facebook, but it just loops me. I click log in with FB, it takes me to a safari-looking page (but im still in the app) that asks me to login with facebook, i click ,it redirects me to the FB app, i click yes log me into 8tracks, it says ok, and we’ll send u back to 8tracks too, then sends me back to the safari-looking page without logging me in. Great app. [edit] i was able to log in on desktop, then change my pass and log in on phone from there, so its cool, but it still needs fixing. Haven't used app yet, but things are looking up. Changed the rating to something less terrible.
Unlimited again!
MettatonEX on 4/4/2018
Now that the time limit per week is no longer in use anymore I will resume to use this app as liberally as I did before the limit was put in place. I'm glad that the developers got the money that they did, and one day I hope to become a member too. A really great app and I'm glad I can use it as much as before again because this is my favorite music streaming app.
Proud of You Guys

The old 8tracks that I loved finally returned. Im so excited to get back to enjoying this app. I would definitely recommend this if you love music. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed in the bringing back of this amazing app. Well done 5 stars !
Terrible (No longer terrible!)
clary yamileth on 4/4/2018
I used to love this app, I found some of my favorite artists because of this app. All of a sudden I have 1 hour of listening per WEEK. I uninstalled the app and will find something else to listen to music with. Update: I got an email today that all listening limits were gone. Unlimited listening, how it was before! I’m so excited and immediately downloaded the app. I’m so happy to start exploring the app and new music again.
Love this app

8tracks continues to be my favorite music app. Finding new music on playlists that other people have created is better than an algorithm!
So many other FREE choices
West Indies Queen on 3/23/2018
Sure the playlists are good but with so many other FREE apps that also play great lists...why would I pay for this service? Just doesn’t make sense. If other apps can do it for free with the help of Ads (like Spotify, iHeart radio, Amazon, Apple, etc) why would I choose this app. I wish they would still give us the choice to either view ads (they are still making money) or allow those that don’t want ads to pay. Until then, I’ll continue listening during my allotted free time and then swap to my other free apps which are great as well!
It's getting better
Luka Rivers on 3/12/2018
The listening limit increased which is great! I don't mind at all listening to ads if it means that the weekly limit stays at an increased amount! The only problem now is that the listening timer isn't working as it used to. 80% of the time I try to use it to stop the music at the end of a playlist it doesn't work and just continues on to the next playlist. I normally wouldn't mind this too much either, but because there is a weekly limit in place, I don't want to miss out on the time I have just because of an app malfunction.
ads don’t load
✌😝 on 3/10/2018
I really want to enjoy 8tracks once again now that the weekly listening limit has been extended but nearly every time an audio ad comes on, it does not load and I’m stuck having to restart the app. this happens constantly, even though I’m well connected to wifi and have updated the app!
If I pay I should be able to skip as much as I want
Jojo philly R on 3/10/2018
I thought why not pay the measly 5 or6 dollars whatever but if I’m paying for the same thing I had for free when this app first came out and I can’t skip more than six times but I can get music.. and skip as much as I want from pandora for the same price or at least let me skip a lot more than six times that’s just resmarted this app developers if your listening to keep people/listeners around you need to let the listeners skip hahaha it is important!
Music Wont Play ! :(
👾J-A-Double-Z-Y👾 on 3/4/2018
