PLEASE! I love this app!
Twilightlove on 1/23/2018
Can you please make this available in Ireland ? I use to use this app all the time and then it didn’t work anymore cause I was living in remand :(
Love 8tracks
I'm sad now XD on 1/22/2018
I’m glad 8tracks found some ad sponsors. Even if there is now audio ads, the listening time has been increased greatly and I can keep using the app I love!
You guys ruined it and there’s no coming back from that.
planecrashdreams on 1/19/2018
You had everyone on your app and site and you chose to make everything pay or nothing but 1 hour a week, at first, so you lost most of your users. Great, you have ads now, but no one is going to come back who left. They’re already gone to just use Spotify or Apple Music or something else for playlists now. You blew it.
No internet
Montoya760 on 1/19/2018
I tried to open app but when I do I get the "no internet connection" screen and can't use app. Please fix
Favorite service but needs iPhone X formatting
Missamandadias on 1/19/2018
Been using this service since the beginning and it is HONESTLY my favorite! User playlists tend to be way better and more eclectic than service-made playlists. This app is perfect for crate diggers like me!!
The app doesn’t work!
mara🌞 on 1/17/2018
I love this app with all my heart because it has some of the best playlists and its my medium for discovering new music, but it doesn’t play anything anymore!!! I’m so frustrated because i thought it was because I hadn’t updated my phone’s software but it’s been over a month and I can’t use it anymore:(
Have country
Kontooooool GM on 1/16/2018
I from indonesia I prefer to hear the song, but unfortunately why your country is locked to turn off my country music .. can you fix it up a bit to listen to another song like a different country?
an uglie on 1/12/2018
I mostly use it to listen to my own playlists but i still like it regardless. havent been able to change my profile picture while on mobile for god knows how long though
Too expensive
NowKatie on 1/12/2018
I’ve used this app for about 3 years. I’ve really loved it. But it’s just way too expensive now.
It rocks
BrightTone on 1/6/2018
Yes, even though it limits my listening time. It works really well. :)
Great music community!
TheDudelyDwellee on 1/1/2018
My favorite way to find new music as well as enjoy old playlists. If you’re a fan of well organized playlists that span over hundreds of genres and tags, then you’ll probably be a fan of 8tracks. ;) My only complaint is that the app doesn’t play well with certain Bluetooth speakers.
How do I delete my profile?
Guspuppy on 12/29/2017
I no longer use this App. I just want to delete my profile and delete the App. How do I delete my profile?
Apple Watch App
spoopykai on 12/26/2017
I love 8Tracks and currently use it on all of my devices, except for my Apple Watch! I would love to be able to get my music on the watch, as sometimes I leave my phone at home when I’m running and use my watch/wireless headphones instead. Please consider making an amazing service even better by adding an Apple Watch feature!
Apple Watch App
Maddmusicfan on 12/24/2017
I love 8tracks. I have been using it for years and always come back after trying out a different service. But 8tracks doesn’t have an Apple Watch app. Now I will be forced to use one of those other services while exercising. Please make an Apple Watch app! I love 8tracks and do not want to have to use a different service!
It used to be great
thebeeselbows on 12/23/2017
You can tell me as many times as you want that the whole "pay for basic access to the app" had to happen, and you guys ran out of options, but I've never been part of something like this where the consumers are punished for something they never had control over. I've never had functions in an app taken away before and suddenly prompted to pay for something that was free beforehand and treated like I should've known that. It was surprising and disappointing. Every playlist I've made, I've made with love. It felt like a piece of art I was putting together. Now, I just feel like with a "likes" based listening allowance, I'm never gonna have more than a few listeners, what with people running out of listening time and leaving 8tracks. I'm honestly fine with the ads. If it takes an ad at the end of a playlist to pay for the app being up, advertise away. I just want to be able to listen to music and share the music I love again. It's a good app, with a good idea of music sharing, and a surprisingly close community. The ads are bearable, the constant notifs for 8tracks Prime are fine, it's the limit on listening time that is the reason people have stopped using it. On my old phone, for some reason, 8tracks never updated and gave me all the listening time I wanted. That one broke and I just downloaded it on my new phone. Of course, the latest version. I don't know if I'll keep it, but no matter how many limits are put on listeners who choose not to pay, I think I'll always be drawn back to listen to my favorite playlists. They've introduced music to me that I otherwise never would have heard. They help me write. They're made by people like me who love music. Let me know when it's free again, 8tracks, because I want to love this app again. That was why so many people used it in the first place.
sad b/c we need partnership w/ soundcloud
Julie010402111 on 12/20/2017
Without the partnership it’s an inconvenience to make playlists because you have to download music to create a playlist. I dont make anymore playlists because of this. The diversity of new music is decreasing!! For this reason I don’t use it as much. -soundcloud and 8 tracks working together really made me love BOTH listening platforms. ‼️‼️‼️‼️ I can’t use 8 tracks as much because the 1 hr of listening but if it was better maybe i’d pay. ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️🌿🤷🏻‍♀️
bxittan on 12/20/2017
longer listening times and Spotify connection for favorite tracks? 8tracks is back in the game.
Total nonsense. Why would I use this app?
Catiec18 on 12/19/2017
1 hour a week? That’s B.S.
Lovely but mobile is lacking
Zoe Head on 12/19/2017
I love this app and I use it all the time for fanmixes. The one issue I keep running into on mobile is that only a few, maybe 10, playlists start showing up for certain tags. It would be really nice if you could continuously scroll like on the lap top, and it would be great if you could sort through them by recently added, most likes, etc. Also if you guys could put a feature on where you could add a mix into your own playlists. I can only do that on desktop as well. I know this was mostly complaints but I do love the app and i will continue to use it. Thanks a ton!
Big failure!!!
Shou31 on 12/16/2017
This app used to be great. One of the best free app for music. Why its not available all over the world? In website music are now played from youtube! Why use this app when I cant listed from youtube? Such a disappointment!
12321223 on 12/8/2017
App had some good music but was too frustrating to use. Always felt like I was clumsily tripping through it to find what I was looking for.
Weird music for the weird soul
Ravenesta on 12/8/2017
I’ve used 8tracks since my freshman year of high school and beyond, for writing inspiration, for homework, for background noise, etc. Almost all of my favourite artists today, I’ve found through some weird aesthetic playlist in the back-end of a search tag. Despite some clunky UI and the occasional bizarre glitch, it’s overall a smooth and incredible service, and well worth the price for exposure to so much good music. Just glad I’ve got the space for it on my phone again!
Glitches out and counts as a listen
Poo ploper on 12/7/2017
I was frustrated that they started charging money to use it for more than 1 hour a week so I bought a subscription. Well I'll click on a play list, it glitches out and crashes and Than I try and play it again and it says "sorry can't listen to a playlist more than once in an 8 hour period" nice 8tracks.... nice... or you skip a few songs "sorry can't skip more than 3 times" I click on a new playlist "sorry can't skip 6 times in a 24 hour period wait a day" why? I pay a subscription and can barely listen to music without all these set backs and limitations
Alright I guess
ADracoDaGreat on 12/5/2017
Even with the subscriptions you still have the skip and replay limit. I U.K. Complaint is if the internet connection dies for a few seconds it will skip songs and the songs skipped will count towards skip limit.
Great App to discover music!
Mxie on 12/1/2017
This is an amazing app to communicate, share and discover musics with all the people from the world.
I love the song selection
T Saleh on 11/30/2017
I love the song selection that otherwise I’d never hear but I wish they add an ALARM CLOCK that we can wake up to . Please add an alarm clock feature 🙏
Good app, but there's always room for improvement.
The one who cares on 11/30/2017
Tbh, I, like pretty much everyone else, obviously preferred the app when there was free listening (yeah I first got this app back when I had a windows phone... long time ago; it was a genuinely great way to find music), but it's understandable that the makers would want to make it for profit (in times like these). It certainly makes me wish I appreciated how special and rare it was for this to have been totally free back then. Anyway, with that being said, I took quite a long break from this app when I realised it now had a premium (calculating how long I've had my iPhone, roughly about two years). I've come back because there's nothing I've encountered like it out there, and even if it now has restrictions and a price tag, it's still amazing. So a few complaints; obviously the 1 hour a week. Wayyy too small a quota. It was one of the reasons I got rid of the app in the first place. I think an hour a day would be much better (they might think it's too much so maybe an hour every other day or every three days), or raise the 1 hour a week to like 3 hours a week. Guaranteed more usage without making people turn away immediately. Second, I know this has been with the app for a long time, but I would love if it was possible to see the songs on the tracks before listening. Third, if there was a way to personally select playlists we've completed listened to, rather than just the app doing that (if it does; I can't remember rn and I rarely finish tracks with the one hour limit). Fourth, and this is especially important, being able to continue where we left off on an old track during prior listening. The one hour a week makes this very vital. This is probably the most important suggestion I'm making, and that I think can be done. I can't tell you how annoying it is to relisten to playlists I haven't finished all over again, and never make any headway because there's a limit on listening time. Thanks 8tracks for still trying. I do hope you read and take these suggestions to heart, especially #4, customer satisfaction and all ;)
Horrible update
greenbeans for life on 11/28/2017
I've used 8tracks for years, primarily to listen to instrumental playlists while studying and I'm in law school so this adds up to a lot of hours. This restriction is horrible. I will not be upgrading to premium, because Spotify is a great free alternative. It’s just a shame because I absolutely loved my playlists on 8tracks and it’s not the same studying without them but charging is just so ridiculous, I’m okay with as many ads as they want to put in there, even if they did like 10 hours of free listening per week it would be something, 1 hour a week of free listening a week is a slap in the face to students who spend hours studying to instrumentals.
Great music app

For the Melomaniacs
Melomaniac24 on 11/25/2017
We all know how this app started, we know that it was built on and with all of us music lovers. Like everyone else we got bummed out about the change but that takes nothing from how Amazing the app is. The only thing that i can say would bring this back to it's full potential is bringing back international coverage. Having people from the original different places of earth uploading their music made it a whole universe of music. In the end this for people who are passionate about music, download it! You wont regret it!!
I love it
Ejmarin5252 on 11/22/2017
Great way to discover new music
Used to love this app... what happened ?
Yours truly, Lia on 11/12/2017
The first time I used this app was a few years ago, I loved it so much as I could listen to any songs and it introduced me to many music artists that I still love to this day. It WAS like no other music app... but now, it’s just like every other app. You have to pay blah blah blah I don’t mind that... but what really pisses me off, is if you don’t pay you can only listen to ONE single hour of music for an ENTIRE week, really? Come on now.
Loved this 💙
lonelysock334 on 11/9/2017
It’s really sad that it’s limited to an hour and I almost wouldn’t mind paying but I think I’d have to able to download playlists onto my phone otherwise it’s just not worth it for me.
Awesome music

Loss of quality
Char Bennett on 11/4/2017
I used to use this music platform everyday and enjoyed sharing playlists. I didn’t mind the constant ads but the fee to play music is just rlly annoying and out played.
8tracks WHY??
Asapames on 11/4/2017
Years ago I used this app 24/7 and upload my own playlists. I was able to create them off my phone, witch you can’t do now. half of my playlist I’ve made are randomly deleted, ever since SoundCloud and 8tracks separated it’s been down hill.
Not interested
rvrski on 10/29/2017
Not interested in just another paid song provider. I'm so sorry :/
Waste of Time (Now)
Hood'lum 2013 on 10/29/2017
Started using the app years ago and it was awesome! Now it is just like every other app. They limit your usage of it until you pay. It is constantly interrupted by random marketing commercials. They make it as difficult as possible for you to delete your account. If I can easily create an account using my iphone, I should just as easily be able to delete it. Did not use to be this way! (iphone6)
Tracks are not loading.
Celsius_Dragon on 10/26/2017
I tap on a song and it doesn’t load.
Great collection of playlists!
jane.taylor on 10/23/2017
I enjoy this app a lot, even with the recent change to one free hour of music a week, but I can't seem to get the app to work on my phone. I have an iPhone 6S, and after an update a month or so ago the app stopped playing playlists. The updates since then haven't fixed it, and I've tried all the solutions suggested on the help page. The app still works on my iPhone 5S (I decided to stop updating it until it started working on my 6S again though). I'm not sure if this is happening to other users as well. This happened a while ago as well, but it was eventually fixed with one of the updates, so hopefully this time it will be fixed as well! On a more positive note, I really love the set up of the app. It's so fun to listen to playlists that fit into such a wide variety of categories, and know that each one is full of songs that someone loved and put together. Thank you for creating such a wonderful app!! UPDATE: The problem has since been fixed, and I’m enjoying the app again!
Took me long enough but I'm back
InvertedCJ on 10/21/2017
Having finally got a way to listen to my phone in my car, I have a subscription now. I really missed unlimited listening. The variety of music on here is unmatched. Bravo.
Sad to say goodbye,
Goodgood1yee on 10/17/2017
Thought I'd pay, but seen even when you subscribe, you have limited skips????
Once a great app, now ransoms the old app back to you
Xavrik on 10/16/2017
My commute to work is about an hour, give or take. 'Nuff said. Also, my favorite playlists that introduced me to so many new songs and bands that I love now are typically around an hour and a half long. Please let me listen to the last three songs, 8tracks, my family is dying.
I Always Come Back
Stefxc on 10/13/2017
I’ve ventured away from 8tracks since the price had gone up and I was limited in my steaming time, but I always come back to it. I hate putting my own playlist together. It truly limits my music selection because it’s hard for me to find new music and really listen to it because I always wind up skipping to a song a I know. But with 8tracks I don’t need to worry I can just let it play. There used to be this website when I was in middle school called or something and 8tracks is the only thing I’ve ever found that truly measured up. I seriously love this app and will probably never get rid of it.
Worth the $30
Kittykitty325748364;!6 on 10/10/2017
Look, I was as mad as everyone else when free unlimited listening was discontinued, but $30 for a whole year of no ads and all the music I want? That's a price I'm willing to pay. Besides, it really isn't that much, it's only $2.50 a month, which just means you can't have your latte from Starbucks (just one darn time a month) and boom you've paid for all the music you can listen to! Frankly, if you can afford a cellphone or a computer, I'm pretty sure you can cough up $2.50 a month or $4.99 if you aren't sure you want the year long commitment. For me, though? Easiest $30 I've ever spent.
Done with this.
jaysca on 10/10/2017
I liked this before they limited you on 1 hour a week and 6 skips total. You used to get 3 skips per station and unlimited access. I'm not about to pay your crazy fees. Now you won't even get the ad money I generated.
What's the point?
brooke2112 L on 10/9/2017
I used to LOVE this app and just recently downloaded it again to see all the playlists I made a couple years back. I was a little disappointed that the unlimited music was gone but decided to pay to listen because why not I can cancel it any time but what's the point of paying money to listen to music but not be able to skip more then 3 times In a playlist and 6 times within an hour? If you expect me to pay to listen to the music on this app I should be able to skip when I want whenever I want.
A “free” music app that isnt free.
Junior5712 on 10/8/2017
So apparently now you must pay just to listen to music. It was a great app before and now they ruined it being greedy forcing you to pay just to listen. Not worth downloading!
It's Like All the Music of the World in One Place
Dlh19003 on 10/2/2017
Where else can I find a 21st century K-Pop cut and a Korean pop song from the 1950's in the same place? 8tracks has music I would have never heard otherwise. There are cuts from my favorite 60's groups that I never knew existed. From ABBA to ZZ Top and their counterparts from around the world. They are all here. Everyone likes free, but this is still a steal for less than a cup of Starbucks joe each month.
