We’re also introducing an enhanced Scenes menu so you can easily preview all of our 30+ relaxing nature scenes and set a sleep timer for background sounds. Tap the mountain icon on the top right of the Home tab to check it out.

We’re excited to introduce John Armstrong as a new meditation guide. You’ll have the option to select either John or our Head of Mindfulness, Tamara Levitt, as your guide when exploring many of the 7 Day Meditation programs.

Calm frequently releases new content, including a new Daily Calm every day, new Music and Sleep Stories every week, and new Masterclass and Meditation programs every month.

Our newest Calm Masterclass features Elizabeth Gilbert, bestselling author of "Eat Pray Love" and "Big Magic". Elizabeth teaches us to reach beyond fear to unlock our creative potential.

Based on the popularity of our first Bob Ross Sleep Story "Painting with Bob Ross", we’ve released 2 additional stories narrated by Bob. Please enjoy "Painted Dreams with Bob Ross" and "Happy Little Zzzs with Bob Ross".

We have a special treat for fans of the hit TV show "Game of Thrones". Jerome Flynn, who plays the witty soldier Bronn, narrates a new Sleep Story called "Sacred New Zealand".

And finally, we launched a new Meditation program for our World Cup fans. If you find yourself feeling anxious while watching close matches or penalty shoot-outs, try doing a quick meditation with the "World Cup Penalty Series".

Didn't ask me if I wanted to continue from after the trail. It just charged my card without asking me for permission to see if I wanted to continue
I would like to give this app 5 stars...
vblair1 on 7/20/2018
I absolutely love this app & what it is all about, it’s just so frustrating that EVERYTHING is locked after the first session. You find meditations that you think are for the free version, and you take the first lesson and the rest are locked until you pay for the subscription. Just make your app cost something instead of making people think they can benefit from this without paying. The only thing you can actually do is 7 days of calm, & timed meditations. All the other meditations are locked.
Great app but....
Wangochin on 7/20/2018
You should give the option to shuffle the songs or repeat. Because if I want to use the music section to sleep I don’t want to have to move after 5 mins to put another song on :/. Please bring this with the next update.
No.

I was very excited and interested to check this app out. Great ad spot on tv recently, and I have a lot of trouble falling asleep so I was hopeful that this would help reduce anxiety and be a quick and easy use. First thing I see when I open the app is $60/year. Immediate stress and anxiety. SIXTY DOLLARS. How much overhead does this company have? Then I explore a little bit because the app still seems awesome! Right away the home screen has things on it that are bothersome - like a suggested sleep story... which I understand some people enjoy but frankly seems weird to me. I didn’t ask for it, it was just there - with a picture of the mans face who was reading the story. Like I said, weird. STILL, the app seems like it has some really soothing sounds and was obviously dev’d by talented people. So I’m exploring more - I find tons of pages and content that frankly is confusing and literally INDUCES anxiety and stress (the presentation/amount/navigation of content, not the content itself). I deleted this app immediately. There’s absolutely no way I’m paying $60 for it. There are other apps that do all of these things and they’re absolutely free. Honestly if developers or employees or execs are reading this, I’m seriously sorry to be so scathing (this is obviously a high quality product) but.. this app is NOT for people who want to soothe their anxiety or sleeping habits - it seems to me like it’s for people who live/want a certain lifestyle. Good for you (truly) for making an intricate platform for mindfulness and also making a buck, but you need to know everything that Im saying. I would STRONGLY prefer to see ads in this app as your revenue stream rather than being charged sixty nonsense dollars for a service that has the word “premium” slapped onto it. I’m gonna open podcasts now and listen to a babbling brook for no dollars. (Or sleep stories, or guided meditation, or zen environments, etc, etc, etc)

Why should I pay to help stop my anxiety and insomnia
Sleepy
firemedicmick on 7/19/2018
The app seems to be great. The problem is I never make it through a full story. There are a few male voices that just kind of drone on and put you right into a happy place. That $50/year is way too expensive. No app should cost that unless it’s attached to your body and can do life saving measures until a doctor can see you.
Great
kris tea on 7/19/2018
Helps my kids and I naturally sleep. Taught them meditation. We use it every day several times. My 3 year old asks me for a sleep story nightly and my 11 year old loves to use it for calming meditation. ❤️
Great content in a decent app
Note Taker on 7/19/2018
The content provided by the app is first rate. The developer provides a steady stream of updates. Deducted one star because the app yanks the user out of the presence at the conclusion of a meditation: The streak reporting shows you the past in order to influence the future. Deducted a second star because I cannot opt out of the streak reporting. The manipulation of the user by software should always be opt in.
It’s the Developer bugging the app?
Phyllisp8036 on 7/19/2018
This is a beautiful app. But, is the developer creating bugs in the app? This app played absolutely beautiful until I reached the end of the 7 day trial. On that very day, I woke up to find that my payment cleared but I couldn’t play the app. Then it fixed. But a week later, like today, another bug such as stopping play when my iPhone 8 comes to rest. This absolutely never happened previously. And based on the very simple functionality of the app which is play and listen, these bugs shouldn’t occur unless the programmer is messing with the programming. Otherwise, this is a BEAUTIFUL and very Useful app!
Started out great, but...
willbnyc on 7/18/2018
Started out great but now they are charging 60 bucks to listen to new meditations. I’ll buy a book on Buddhism and pass. Very disappointed. I just feel kind of ripped off after subscribing for over a year and then not being able to access new sessions. Not a great feeling. Stressful in fact. Which for a meditation website is a problem.
Life Changing App
Carolinachic236 on 7/18/2018
CALM has the ability to change your life. It’s such an amazing and useful app. I have severe anxiety and one of the only things I’ve found that helps is meditation. The soothing sounds and wonderful voice of the narrator (guide) will take your mind above and beyond. There’s a meditation for every occasion and I’ve yet to discover anything that I don’t like about this app 🖤
Day 1
TUnit31 on 7/18/2018
Calming and soothing narration to guide me through just simply breathing.
It’s so expensive!
Cuff huff1121 on 7/18/2018
This is a nice app. I like the stories but the other stuff prob won’t use. I would tell my friends about it but the sticker shock😱why does it have to be $59.99 a year?????!!!! I can, and will, go check out audio books from my library for free, pity because I would buy this if it was $9.99 or even $19.99 a year- but $60 is ludicrous!!!!!
Thumbs up
Purplerainleather on 7/18/2018
Great way to unwind and enjoy yourself by relaxing at any point in the day.
Beware of their automatic billing
brendastarr on 7/18/2018
Calm offers you a free trial, but the second the trial is over, they will bill you for a premium subscription. There are other subscriptions available but the default is $59.99 a year with tax. Deleting the app from your device isn’t enough. You have to go into Settings and then to Subscriptions. Apple was nice enough to refund me. But, keep track of the free trial period.
Amazing guided meditations
Steve.girl on 7/18/2018
I love that you can pick a background sound that is peaceful for you. The daily reminder setting is totally helpful in my remembering to practice. I’d recommend this to anyone, really. Beginners and longtime meditators alike. 🙏🏻

Jesus fing Christ on 7/17/2018
The Calm app was one of the best apps for free & simple guided meditation that I used extensively through my very horrible divorce. Unfortunately the developers have decided to cash in; what was free is now a whopping $60 per year! Very disappointing, I won’t be back.

A guide that keeps your focus and calm
ARabidPanda on 7/17/2018
Mediation isn’t perfection. Your mind will wonder, your breathing may break. Al of that is okay. It’s the intention of trying that matters, that sets you up for a great day and leads to strengthened practice, whenever I am getting back into it. My mind wonders often to silly things : I’ll add cinnamon in that. Oops come back. You see Hilary and Julia today. Oops come back. My hair is on my face. Oops come back. The daily calm helps guide you through the moments. It’s fantastic. I love that I can for 5, 10, 60 minutes! There’s really no excuse not to add it to the day ❤️ this little gem makes it easier. I paid for the full thing and haven’t regretted.
It’s a good app
madpeaches on 7/17/2018
I want to give it all five stars but the price I’m in college and I like to listen to this after a stressful day of learning, and also while I study and then listen to a good book to help me sleep. Like I stated before I’m in college $59.99 is not something I can spend like that yes it will help me in the long run buts it’s not gonna put food on the table. I suggest lower the price or just make a different price for people in school.
Why can’t it all be free
❤️🎥🎥💗🌅 on 7/17/2018
Honestly if you really want to help people and not stress them out and make them pay I’m only 14 I have depression anxiety odd adhd and other things I can’t pay for that and so I uninstalled the app
Non premium
hellobanana03 on 7/16/2018
Tons of people have non premium because they can’t afford it or because they aren't doing good financial “I mean it’s true most people have some rough times in there life, I mean I know I did” . It just needs more stories that are free and needs more stuff on it. I mean if you need a free app for meditation, relaxation, and sleep they would pick CALM but CALM needs more stuff on it. Thank You For Your Time.
I’ve got good sleep from this

Excellent
Hyview on 7/16/2018
Amazing guided meditation during the day any time of the day! I love how it tracks all my sessions and progress. In addition, I really enjoy the bed time stories! I fall asleep within minutes but more importantly my favorite is the calming music options and background songs!
Look at prices, this is a subscription app!
Asdfgfdfgh on 7/16/2018
A quietly calming rip-off. The calming effect is most pronounced for the owners of Calm Inc., and their pocket books. If you look at the in-app purchases you find that there are a huge subscription prices averaging $40.00 US. I might be willing to call it a $5 app(really $3), but with this array of additional charges and a multi-page, obtuse, "terms of service" agreement I think the most calming thing I can do is delete the app. Shame on you Apple for pushing this app so extensively without pointing out how costly it really is. I hope your profits are worth it.
Amazing!
VigorousOne on 7/16/2018
It’s no surprise that this app has the Editor’s Choice Award. It’s fantastic! I decided to try it on a whim after seeing it advertised here in the App Store and reading some reviews. Since my early teens, I’ve always been in touch with my spirituality and turned to meditation and yoga/exercise for dealing with emotional baggage and anxiety. Lately I’ve hit some roadblocks and plateaus in my personal growth. I couldn’t be any more grateful for this app. There are so many topics/categories of meditations to choose from. And the meditation guide, Tamara Levitt, is just angelic. I sink almost as soon as I hear her voice. Thank you, Calm! 🙏🏼

Calm Moments
gazoossqueeze on 7/16/2018
In the midst of beginning my hectic day CALM is perfect! It is an easy way to PAUSE and take time for me before running through daily life each day. Their bedtime stories force me to turn off, tune in and most times I never hear the end of a story but always fall asleep instead. Perfect!!! Giggle Thank you for helping me relax.
Price !!!

This App is delightful but I would not pay $60 . Just when I found a good one the price brings it all down 😞
Thank you.

A highschooler with anxiety on 7/15/2018
I have a condition were my heart beats 2x the normal heart, add that with anxiety, and your heart, when scared beats super fast and sometimes it’s hard to breathe but when I used the Calm app it surprisingly helped me calm down, it even helps me go to sleep sometimes.I hope people trying to find calmness and being centered they should use calm, Child or Adult.

I’ve had many apps that soothe me through sleep and breathing. This App however is the best I’ve found so far, Thank you Calm.
Just incredible
Nater dude 13 on 7/15/2018
Honestly I had never really meditated before but I was always curious given that it seemed to bring such peace of mind. I didn’t know how and didn’t think I had the patience but the meditations were short so I thought I might as well give it a try. Since I started using calm I have had so much more focus, emotional resilience and yes calm. I am only about 3 weeks in but I would definitely recommend this to anyone just trying to quiet their mind a bit and find some peace.
FREE to download, NOT FREE to use.
Milkduds3607 on 7/15/2018
I downloaded this app in hopes of being able to atleast use simple features such as choosing a nature sound (ex.waves). But nope, everything is locked and needs a premium subscription for. No thanks. Don’t waste your time downloading if you don’t plan to pay the yearly fee.

App is horrible unless you want to pay
jdjdhchdjdjejdhdj on 7/15/2018
You get maybe 1 or 2 stories to listen to unless you pay. And even then, it’s more obnoxious wanting you to “share your experience” more than other free apps have ads. Total garbage!
Misinformation on signup
mw9829ak on 7/15/2018
This is actually a Free 7 day trial. Not stated on the download screen like other apps state. Bait and switch con job. $59 is the year subscription. Its just better to tell people up front. Maybe its worth it, but I will not ever try it, since this started with deception.
Headspace is better in my opinion

Just feel that calm’s subjects of meditation are too vague and doesn’t really get down to the various emotions It seems very elementary and well....mediocre Sorry just not feeling it
