In two days using doordash: GPS navigation sends my orders to the wrong address (not even to the street I listed) and won’t allow map correction. App support is terrible and frequently sends you in circles trying to get help. Received a call and support specialist was almost insistent that I placed another order to the same place that didn’t have the item I requested. Some merchants with their menus are incomplete (how hard is it to order a side of rice?) or list items that they won’t deliver (like soup). For no reason the app frequently doesn’t accept cards. I set up Apple Pay which worked and then promptly received numerous fraudulent charges. Edit- I tried using support as recommended with no luck as the menu only allows drop down selection of which nothing is relevant. No resources to get support via phone which would make this process simpler.
Sneaky fees

First time user. They advertised there was “no delivery fee” promotion going on. But after ordering and reviewing receipt I notice they slipped in a $1.80 fee to Deal Dash operation costs. Perhaps I overlooked it as “tax” prior to submitting my order. Had I noticed, I wouldn’t have ordered thru the app I would have ordered direct from the restaurant. We ordered one pizza and they didn’t put the flavored crust on it. Not sure how you overlook that on a one item order. Not impressed. Deleting app.
Dash Pass

Pass is worth it, but if you cancel can't get it back. It's a promotional thing, which I understand. And who knows when it will be back. They have no way to re-subscribe you to the pass. I feel like any other company would've been able to do this, doesn't seem like it would be too hard on their end. I've gotten use to picking up my food's a a little bit of hassle at first. But you get use to it, saving $10-$15 per trip. 😉👉🏻💵 I'll be back when you DoorDash decides to bring it back. 1 Star for the wait and CS inability to help.
No special requests?

We used to LOVE DoorDash until they implemented the “no special requests” rule. What if you want the cheeseburger plain because your kids are picky? Or want the blue cheese left off a salad? Come on DoorDash - please bring back the ability to make minor modifications and we will bring back our business.
Too many fees

I like the idea of being able to track my delivery, but all the fees associated with this apps are a little ridiculous. I might as well just use GrubHub/Seamless, where there aren’t any random hidden fees at the end. Sometimes a $10 order ends up costing $20! I understand that fees need to be out in place to keep the business going, but seriously? No thank you!
Don’t waste your time

Maybe I just have bad luck, but it always takes them HOURS to get me my food. Currently watching the driver on the app (who told me he would be late because of “construction”) and he has driven almost 2 miles in the opposite direction and was parked at an apartment complex for 10 minutes. There is no construction, it’s a mile from my house. Don’t waste your time.
They literally don’t pay their dashers

They do not pay their dashers at all. They depend on tips from their customers to make any money at all. I worked as a dasher and earned less than 1$ an hour . It’s crazy . And they make you pay gas. Wow update in July 2018. Now they don’t pay the bonuses they give , neither me , my roommate, my girlfriend or school friend get paid for their deliveries. Just know that if you use doordash it’s the equivalent of slavery. F**k them.
Referral Credits

I referred a friend for the $10 credit and it says it will be redeemed at checkout but it has not happened. I’m not sure how else to redeem credits from referring friends and there doesn’t seem to be any information on how to do so in the app. Besides that, the app is great.

I have used the app multiple times. As long as you get a dasher who doesn’t decide to double dip and let your food get cold while they are waiting for another order you are okay. Now if the restaurant has a question forget it, door dash workers in CA who have a difficult time with English will ask you questions, then tell the restaurant the opposite of what you told them. Unless you can’t drive save yourself the aggravation and a boatload of money and call it in and pick it up yourself

From what I’ve seen so far it’s been a pretty decent service. The people are fairly quick, my order hasn’t been wrong yet, but I wish there were more food options and I had the option to add extra things for more money if necessary. On top of that look into the people you have bringing my food some look pretty sketchy.

When it says free delivery (over$10) or $1 then you place an order and realize they charged $2.99 delivery nothing you can do to change. The $1 deliver special didn't show for checkout so luckily I saw that before submitting getting charged $6.99 disappointed but other than that I like the app despite the Sur charge for the food in tip of the delivery fee. Paying $26 getting the reciept for $20 would be so bad if hey held up the delivery charging what it says. I won't order things without free delivery. So I may not use moving forward.

Trying to order lunch at 11 am on a Friday and mysteriously all of the restaurants in the app are closed until tomorrow morning. This is on top of the fact that my last DoorDash order was missing items. Instead of refunding my money, it’s applied as a credit to the app forcing me to use the service again. Which I’m trying to do right now but all of the restaurants are “closed.”

No security! they called me and said that from the support service, they knew everything about me, phone number, name, email! then they sent a confirmation number from the number doordash from which I send orders! after that they wrote off the money from my account! I wrote a message to the support team, but no one has answered to me yet! I will never work with the doordash!!!!!!
Great service but a few kinks

The service has been great and food has arrived on time and for the most part their customers service department has been up to par. My complaint is that when you order from a restaurant and they are out of a particular item, DoorDash calls to make sure it’s okay to replace it with something else and let you know the difference in price. I love that they do that but when you do have a change sometimes the restaurant will mistakenly charge you for both orders which results in you having to dispute the charge with your bank. So far I’ve disputed close to $100 in charges and it’s hard to prove it because you do not receive an email or cancellation showing the change in your food receipt. Nightmare!!!

I ordered mcdonals at 10:42 and on my card, it says I was charged $28.05 for DoorDash, yet when I went to my doordash it said it was still in my cart. So basically you guys took my money cuz I am not paying again to get my food.

Great choice, super fast and for an extra few buck that the drivers deserve this is awesome!!!! Keep up with high quality Food and great drivers and I will be back. If you start to short paying the drivers I will never use you guys again!!!! Anyway so far so great!!!! Just don't get greedy that's all I can say. At first ride share apps were great but after the stories I heard it has been almost 3 yrs since I have used them. Just a word to wise? You will end up lower than grub hub. So it all depends on you and how you treat your sub contractors ? Good luck so far so good😀

I was moved to write this review because the customer service through door dash is seriously on point. We’ve ordered from them probably 30 times or so and a handful of them have had issues (wrong or missing items). While it’s disappointing that there’s no mechanism to simply say “please bring me the right version of what I ordered” they at least give immediate credit for their mistakes. With service like that they’ll continue to keep our business.

The App works fine, and the delivery fee is cheap, but that’s because this company does NOT ask the business’s permission to put them on the app. I work for a business that door dash put on their app without permission and they were selling the food for way cheaper and the WRONG WAY. Our business will NEVER approve door dash to sell our food. It’s illegal what they’re doing, but small businesses don’t have the means to sue. Also, they DO NOT provide support for their customers or drivers. If there’s an issue, your money disappears into oblivion. DO NOT USE. THIS IS A TRASH BUSINESS!

I continue to get my rating dropped when it’s not my fault that I could not accept an order. If I’m in a bad area and it won’t go through to my phone. Or if the app is not working and I can’t press any buttons you lower my rating. Now if I miss 1 order you take 1% off. But if I accept many orders then you don’t even put 1 % back on. I am continually disappointed with this app and service. I don’t think I will be driving for you guys much longer nor will I refer you. We shouldn’t get docked for stuff that’s not our fault!! I sat for 25 minutes in a restaurant today waiting for food. And I’m sure you will dock me on time too because the restaurant was extremely slow.

They refunded my entire order because of late delivery that made the food sit for too long and not taste good. When there is an issue with food quality they are receptive and help you resolve the issue. Makes me have faith in the system. Some restaurants are much better than others and not always consistent delivery but worth it!

Current version will not let me add notes to order. Like requesting ketchup for fries. Just keeps giving the updating circle for 30 minutes.

I have spent a lot of money on DoorDash and have given them many chances to prove me wrong. I’m not a complainer and it takes a quite a bit to set me off. Many times they have been late or closed, and even worse, sometimes simply not deliver. When you tell them the order was never delivered they give you a terrible excuse and then MAYBE refund our money. But last night I think was the last straw. They almost canceled my order twice in one night, the had me wait over 2 and a half hours to get cold soggy food. I tried to get them to make it right, but talking to their management team was like talking to a condescending teenager that just didn’t care. I am so frustrated with the way I was treated and their overall attitude. I told them that this may be the last time I order from them. The seemed like they could care less.

Everytime I order my food it always comes late and I never get all the food I ordered yesterday the guy said he would go back in fix my order in never came back.Another time it was raining in a guy didn’t want to get out his car so he did not bring me my food I am 8months pregnant I was starving I had already waited two hours for my food in he pulled off cause I didn’t want to come to his car in the rain plus I had my daughter in the house in he parked all the way down the street I was not about to leave my baby in the house in walk down the street in the rain to get my food the whole purpose of being a dasher is to bring the customer their food and check the others before doing so. Doordash charge too much money for this horrible customer service when dashers don’t provide proper customer service they should not get paid for orders.

I had and used door dash often. I loved them the service the speed the relationships they had with the restaurants. Til one day I order, through DD, from a place called J Gumbos. They have different entree options but ultimately you can get up to 3 different entrees in one bowl (couple dollars up charge, cause it’s not a full entree just a bit of each one in your bowl). DoorDash charged me for 3 entrees and the multi bowl upcharge! The restaurant was even confused and called me (cause doordash charges you right away) and asked if I wanted one bowl w/3entrees in it or if I wanted 3 separate entrees (which is what I was charged for)! I clarified just the one bowl and they told me that they thought it a bit weird to have 3 separate bowls with the multi entree upcharge so they wanted t make sure and adjusted my order and charged the correct amount to the final receipt also sending me a copy of the receipt with the correct pricing that they charged. Door dash never refunded my card the difference. And when I emailed them, the asked for images of the receipts so I sent them and then they respond with some crap in their terms and conditions about how they price things different sometimes and they are under no obligation to itemize their costs when listing prices and they reserve the right to change prices at any time. And that’s it. So they charged me $30+odd dollars for a single bowl with 3small entree portions (in the same single bowl) thats actual cost on door dash’s own app was around $8!! The restaurant and myself both thought it a simple mistake but the reply from door dash said the did it on purpose and didn’t care. Lol I would have just taken the other 2 entrees at least I would have had the correct amount of food I paid for! Ha.. thought they were the best, turns out the don’t care about the customer at all. Don’t let them fool you. Use Amazon, I became a prime member just for the food delivery and I haven’t looked back and they don’t change the pricing outrageously if even at all. Also, way more restaurant choices.

I am with my cousin’s wife who is pregnant. She ordered food two and a half hours ago and the food hasn’t come. We have called door dash, the restaurant and the delivery person multiple times. The restaurant won’t answer, the delivery guy says he has been there waiting for food for an hour, and door dash has told us multiple times that the delivery guy is on his way. We even got the text that the dasher is on his way. Cute. That is a straight up lie as the delivery guy is still there. Door dash can’t give us the truth and they have offered to refund 20% of the cost. My cousin’s wife is pregnant and she needs to eat. John G was our help guy (the fourth time we called) and he literally asked to talk to her husband to resolve the issue. Sexism. Alive and well at door dash.

I’ve used the service successfully several times, until one day when suddenly I was logged out of my app, and could not log back in. I tried several times to log back in, my credentials were denied. When I clicked on the forgot your password button, and submitted my email address (the same as has always been on my account), it said an email with instructions was sent, but I never received anything in my inbox. I tried this process several times with the same results. I ultimately tried to create a new account, but was met with an error message stating that an account already exists with that email address. This is insane, and terribly maddening. An endless loop wherein I’m blocked at every turn to successfully use this service again. I tried contacting the company via their website, and filled out a support form, but when I pressed the submit button, I kept getting an error message on their website, so of course, my message was not delivered. I have no other way of contacting these people to get help. This is incredibly frustrating. This has now become a completely useless product to me. One which I’d love to be able to use again, but I have very little hope of that happening, at this point.

I live in a suburb of Denver where other services like Ubereats and Postmates are still expanding, so it’s really nice to have DoorDash and all of the options that they do. Some of my orders have been a little hit and miss, but when they work out, it’s fabulous. The app is great, the drivers and polite and punctual, and the food has always great (and correct). Once, I cancelled an order and had to call customer service, but the process was painless and i got a full refund. Great service in a pinch!
Needs tweaking with delivery comments

I put in a note for my delivery driver when I made an order months ago. And with each order I attempted the note would not go away, even when deleting it from each order before sending it in. So now every time I place an order I have to warn my delivery driver that the note in the order was old, and I couldn’t get rid of it. And if I forget to tell them, they get confused and call me. Very irritating.

Doordash has become my main app for food deliveries because it has so many options. my only complaint about doordash would be outside of the app. sometimes especially this past week there have been a couple mistakes and situation with my orders which can be frustrating since we do pay for a delivery and service fee.

Downloaded the app today and placed my 1st order. As the order was processing i get an error message saying “oops something went wrong we can’t give you an update on your order”. The money was immediately debited from my card and the app keeps saying I have no orders. Customer service rep Frank told me I need to use Common Sense! Common sense for what ?!?? when I want to know where my order is since the money was already taken off my card! Worst app don’t use or download - stick with Uber eats!!!

I used to have great experiences with this app until the last few weeks. Three of my last six orders didn’t process in the app but I was still charged for them. Called customer service and was on hold longer than 15 minutes each call. They will give you a refund but it takes 5-7 business days to get back in your account. Terrible.

Don’t download this service the app took my money and never delivered my food! Completely sketchy.It was my first time using a delivery app and I had I hopes and it was just bad over all.The app took my payment and never authorized my food order.

The first couple times I used doordash it was really good. Then just today I went to place my order and it froze so I exited off the app and went back and my order never was placed but they took money out of my account. Why charge me if my order was never placed. Now I can’t log in or anything and it’s starting to upset me.

We don’t have DoorDash where I live, but used it while on vacation at Great Wolf Lodge. Excellent service, we don’t have to leave the hotel and it’s cheaper than hotel food. The drivers have been extremely nice and it’s been a wonderful experience. I hope they come to our area soon!

Have tried to use door dash for my lunch meetings several times. Orders are always late and sometimes don’t come at all. Today my order scheduled for 12:30 delivery was cancelled at 11:40. I was not contacted via phone instead received an email that the restaurant was not accepting orders. Called the restaurant and they said the order was never received. I was hoping for reliable food deliver for my weekly meetings but this is not it. Door dash has failed multiple times.
