Too Small
Lou&# on 8/20/2018
The calendar is way too small. You need x-ray eyes to see the numbers and never mind what u wrote on it. Google you dropped the ball on this on this one. I would like to know how this app got a 4.5 rating when almost all the reviews are negative.
Dim past events?!?!
Jddowell44 on 8/20/2018
Please make this a feature in the app like you do in the desktop version of google calendar.
Needs present date on the home app
BXLALA on 8/20/2018
The app is great. It just needs the present date on the home app. The number 31 stays on the front of the home app.
I used to love this app
R. Marley Brown on 8/19/2018
The new updates are really frustrating. I can’t find things that used to be pretty self explanatory (like making an event reoccur in the calendar) and color coding used to make it easier to see what was going on throughout the week, but it’s no longer an option unless I want to change what the calendar setting is. Incredibly annoying and hard to deal with. There wasn’t anything wrong with the way it was before. Don’t fix something that isn’t broken.
Goals make it look crowded
Antipodka on 8/19/2018
I recently found out about reminders and goals which are really helpful, but for some reason I can't hide goals when I need to see my actual availability. That makes the whole app useless. I can hide reminders, but goals are still there. I might stop using goals because of this. This issue is on computer, iPhone and Android too, please fix!!!
Great App
RAJJED on 8/19/2018
Great App. I was a strong iCloud user, but have switched to G Suite and I love all of their products. I really like google calendar, but I wish the google calendar app icon would show the date and day like the Apple calendar icon.
The App just doesn’t work on IPhone X
totocarbone on 8/19/2018
This was my favorite app, but I just cannot use it anymore since it crashes every single time I try to open it on IPhone X. I am now using the iPhone calendar even if it not great. Very disappointed considering I’ve been trying to use the google calendar for the last 8 months on this phone hoping that each update would finally make it work
It has a bug that doesn’t let you edit!
@davessuccess on 8/19/2018
I made an event and now can’t change it or up date it on my iPhone 📲
Five-min intervals only...still...after over a year of giving feedback
AGAnderson on 8/19/2018
Bring. Back. 1-minute intervals. I. Teach. We. Use. 1-min intervals. At the very least allow me to enter the 1-min interval as a time for an event. It rounds to the next five-min it's interval. (I entered something as 10:17am and it changed it to 10:20am.) 10:17 ≠ 10:20. My patience is dwindling.
Burton20160046 on 8/19/2018
I am extremely disappointed that they have not fixed the app icon to match today’s date. I have deleted the app until they update this feature. It is pointless for me to use this app if I still need Apple calendar for the date at a glance.
Disappointing changes—Hope they fix
StuntRacer on 8/18/2018
It’s frustrating that events do not show up for my husband anymore even though I have him linked to my calendar. I have to specifically tag him now, and sometimes that doesn’t work. — Also, I can no longer color-code events. Hate that! The option is no longer there. I’ve emailed the “help/contact us” from within the app twice. Used to love the app. Hope these things are corrected soon.
Mave-SM on 8/18/2018
Like the view inside the calendar. Would appreciate if the icon actually displayed the current date instead of ‘31’. Would make it very simple to know the current date.
Disregard Negative Reviews: I Just Update...
MollyZ1 on 8/17/2018
I’ve used this app for about 2 years and it originally was MUCH better than the Apple calendar. But when I updated the Apple IOS, EVERYTHING got screwed up [as the other reviews report]. But I just updated the latest August 2018 Google Calendar and it’s BACK BEING WONDERFUL. Try it, you’ll love it again! [the major difference between the Apple Calendar and the Google is Apple STUPIDLY does NOT permit you to easily move about— LIKE A CALENDAR!— the GOOGLE CALENDAR DOES!]
Doesn’t always send notifications
akyled7 on 8/17/2018
The app layout is nice and easy to understand. But it has stop sending me notifications for events that I set, which is very inconvenient and means that I have to use a different app for reminders
It is good
Anca Debussy Admiral on 8/17/2018
I like that I can personalize it some. However, I would really want the icon to show the actual date for every day. Let’s say today is the 15th, it would be great if my google calendar app would show 15, not 31 like it does. I shouldn’t Have to open app to see what day it is. It confuses me, especially at the end of the month.
Unable to edit even with update
melanymusic on 8/16/2018
When you’re trying to run a business, you can’t afford to waste time messing with issues like this. When I delete an event, I don’t expect to have to fight with it to stay deleted. This is on my iPhone. C’mon Google, with all that revenue you can afford to get the job done.
50/50 satisfied
beepbeepbln on 8/16/2018
Honestly I just went back to using IOS built in mail and calendar apps in my iPhone bc the google calendar and gmail app are ANNOYING. after years of advanced technology why can’t google have a calendar app that shows and updates the correct date (it always says 31). Mac figures it out for iCal. Why can’t google? Another major issue.... I hate that adjusting settings and making edits to events is limited on the app. My default calendar is Work. It’s color coded in green for organizing. But I also have color coded calendars for Personal, reminders, fitness, financing and bills. If I enter a new event it automatically will put it under the work calendar. Then I have to open Mac’s iCal and edit the calendar I want it to be under. But then you go back to Google calendar app and it will show the same event under Work and whatever other category I changed it to. Also from a design and visual perspective I wish they’d redesign it. It looks so juvenile.
Come on now
uhnancy on 8/15/2018
Recently, I have been in awe with the new updates however, with the more recent update, I can’t even get the app to open! Everytime I click on my app, it suddenly closes. I have a very busy life! This makes me irritated and above all, super frustrated! Fix this
Works well; App icon day always 31
rv5057 on 8/15/2018
Overall pretty good so far except I hate that the app icon always shows the 31st and doesn’t change to whatsoever the date is
Good for time budgeting... bad for activity syncing
davebrown89 on 8/15/2018
Love the UI and how it helps me find time. Only reason I gave it four stars was because the Health app integration must be syncing everything from the beginning of time. I’ve received probably 1000+ notifications in the last few hours as it syncs. Had to turn it off completely while it brings the data in.
Better out there
adamluce829 on 8/14/2018
I’ve been using calendars by readdle because the google calendar app previously didn’t have month view. Now it does, but google calendars won’t allow me to use the classic colors, where calendars by readdle will. I’ve tried leaving feedback several times, but the google calendar app still isn’t allowing me. I can’t use the new color schemes, they’re way too bright! If this app will ever allow the choice of using classic colors then I will likely try it again.
Add Appointments for G Suite Customers
varunchunduru on 8/14/2018
I love the app but I would enjoy the experience more if you added an "appointments" option when you click the red add event button. I do a lot of client work on my phone and use Google calendar to schedule appointments, but it's only on the desktop version, and not the mobile. Please add it! 😚
Incredibly slow recently
KriWill on 8/14/2018
After opening the app it has spun for 60 seconds and my calendar/events will not load. Some update that was done about a month ago has caused this; used to be flawless. Please fix Google; I organize my life using the calendar and would rather not switch to another inferior platform.
It won’t let me swipe to the right to see my side info
Troublezbabyyy on 8/13/2018
I cant change who’s calendars I can and cannot see in my phone! This is a serious problem when I’m trying to plan things with my friends because we cant see each other’s calendars. It is really annoying
Works for the most part, just needs a design fix.
jhttng on 8/11/2018
This app works 80% of the time for me. I don’t have any of the “laggy, unresponsive” issues like others have. A design flaw (in my opinion) is that the app title on the home screen should just say Calendar, instead of Google Calendar. I’m not sure if it’s because of a copyright issue or anything, but we all know what your calendar is because of the logo. For me, it says “Google Calend...” and it bugs me. Other then that, works okay for me.
1 issue
G6plays on 8/11/2018
I know you want to know what's wrong, so let's get to it. One time when I made a reminder, I looked back to my calendar, and a few days later, and somehow, there was 40 REMINDERS in that ONE DAY! How did this happen? I did not set that reminder to go off 40 times! I set it for the morning of every day! Google, if you are reading this, please fix this. I want to make reminders without issues. Cons out of the way, let's go on to pros. This app, despite all the bad experiences by other people, (which I was very surprised by) I have a good experience with this app. And, I don't know why I didn't think this in the first place, that Google has a website for this app. People are saying that there is more features on there. If there is, I'll check it out now. So, the interface is clean, there is a week, month, day, and schedule veiw, which is nice. And they have reminders. Good app, but if a issue takes a feature away, I will have to take away a star. Sincerely, - A Google user.
Nice but missing essentials
robshal on 8/9/2018
Love the app and the different views. Creating events can be cumbersome. Really missing option to delete one occurrence of a reoccurring event.
Don’t normally rate
rjthelovebug on 8/9/2018
I must say after much debating I decided to download this app after a friend said it was good for him. I did. After having it for about a year (no complaints from me) I did the update. Now after putting all my reminders and such in the calendar it’s ALL gone. So not happy.
Took an arrow to the knee...
dnewcomb on 8/9/2018
Google Calendar USED to be a fantastic calendar app, but something went wrong in the last year and the team doesn’t seem interested in fixing it. On my iPhone X, the app is practically unusable. Add a new doesn’t show up. Move an shows it in the same spot as before. Accept or decline an invitation...still shows as if you haven’t responded. However, kill the app and restart it and most of things have actually been done. Seems as if the info is getting to the server, but then the mobile client doesn’t get or display the updated state. I would really love to have this app back again working like it did before. There are new things I would like as well, such as moving events to a different calendar, but honestly just getting back to functional again would be enough for now. Until then, I suggest exploring other calendar app options.

Make Google Calendar Great Again
dnatelson on 8/8/2018
I’ve been a fan of this app since the beginning and over the past few months it just refuses to operate well. It takes forever to load, make edits to existing events, or add new one with the confidence that they actually saved. Please, Google, make it great again. I really don’t want to use any other app for my calendar needs and I also can’t be frustrated everyday trying to use an app that should be making my life easier.
Very disappointed
kayaepstein on 8/8/2018
I love the google suite for everything I use. That said, the calendar often takes forever to load, sometimes is multiple days off in terms of synching updates, and has in general just been quite frustrating. I love google. Hope the fix this one.
So good!
atucker92000000 on 8/8/2018
I love google everything and how everything syncs together. Seriously such a great visual of my schedule. Life saver!
yavetteh on 8/8/2018
It crashes on my iPgone all the time
Lacks one thing
stuoid app on 8/7/2018
Great app but the most annoying thing is once you make an event and you accidentally put in the wrong calendar you are unable to change it even through editing the event.
App review
nb290searay on 8/7/2018
I have an iPhone and would like the actual date to appear on the main icon screen of google calendar like the apple calendar does instead of the default 31.
Easy to use, many functions, accessible from anywhere

I love this app! The only thing I wish was that the app icon reflected the actual day of the month, instead of “31” always. That would be cool! Thanks!
Good but missing Appointments
heyjudes76 on 8/7/2018
I mainly use this for work, so it’s been helpful to keep my personal and work calendars separate. It has been working well for me so far. The only issue I run into is that I can create appointment slots in Google Calendar on my computer, but they are missing from the app. It makes it look like I have bothing scheduled when I should.
Good App
Jbeare:/ on 8/7/2018
Overall this is a solid app. I would love for the app face itself to display the current day of the month.
Search option does not work & slow to open
mamahi on 8/7/2018
Please fix!
Easier than the Apple calendar

Perfect TM tool

My nursing schedule changes randomly. This allows me to stay on track for assignments and tasks, arrive on time, and keep track of worked hours. I certainly reccomend it.
Potential Update/Change Recommendation
JayEnTee88 on 8/7/2018
Love the app for an alternative to the iPhone version. Only thing I would like is if there is a way to show todays date on the app icon like the iPhone version does. It’s a great feature that I continue to look for and realize it’s not the 31st of the month.
More colors!!!
Mdarnall12 on 8/5/2018
i love it! i use it everyday, but i need more color options!!!
aclosso0 on 8/5/2018
Keeps me on track! Great for college students. Just started using it my senior year! 😔 Overall, this application is amazing! Thanks!!
Know the date without looking at app
13bleuberets on 8/4/2018
Can this app please include a feature so that I can see the month and day without opening the app like iCalendar does?
Excellent, But needs a final touch
E. Crowley on 8/4/2018
Google calendar is a great app, but it WILL NOT tell you the date like Apple calendar's home screen picture. I am writing this review because the Google development team for the calendar can hopefully fix this. However, don't blame them. Really, you are on iOS, not Android. Edit: Also, to the review saying that it is impossible to create events, press the three bars (menu) and select "day". Now swipe to the day you want to create events, and click on "Nothing Planned". Now create and click menu and go back to the schedule view. (▀̿Ĺ̯▀̿ ̿) You are now Google calendar trained.
Good but could improve
febbychelle on 8/3/2018
I‘ve tried many different calendar apps and Google Calendar is my favorite so far. It has many functions and is also easy to use. I rate it with 4 stars because it could make a few little improvements such as showing the the date of today on the app icon instead of always showing “31“, and I wish I could see my tasks on the app. So far it only shows up on the web version but I‘d really prefer it to be visible on the app aswell.
Unreliable sync
drjwr on 8/3/2018
Now misses some iOS calendar events when it syncs, which makes the app unreliable and needing to be deleted. It’s too bad because this was the simple and usable monthly view we all needed.
