Bee happy! We have a new update, honey!

Over 30 million people have signed up for Bumble to start building valuable relationships, finding friends, and making empowered connections.

Creating new connections has never been easier. Bumble is working to lift the stigma of online dating by employing unprecedented standards for respectful behavior. Because of this relentless dedication, millions of people are using Bumble to build valuable relationships every single day.

Bumble is at the forefront of matchmaking technology by providing an app that allows users to foster more than just romantic connections. The industry-leading app empowers users to swipe through potential connections across three different modes:

Bumble: On Bumble, women make the first move. We’ve changed the archaic rules of the dating game so that you can form meaningful relationships in a respectful way.
Bumble BFF: Life is better with friends. Whether you’re new to a city or looking to expand your circle, Bumble BFF is the easiest way to make new friends.
Bumble Bizz: Now we’re in business. Use Bumble Bizz to network, find mentors, and create new career opportunities.

Bumble is the first app of its kind to bring dating, friend-finding, and career-building into a single social networking platform.

At Bumble, women make the first move. In heterosexual matches, the woman has 24 hours to make the first move and the man has 24 hours to respond. In same-sex matches, either person has 24 hours to make the first move, while the other individual has 24 hours to respond, or else, the connection expires. By prompting our users to be bold and make the first move we’ve seen over 3 billion messages sent to date.

“Bumble exists to empower women...” (Fast Company)
“Bumble is just an app: but it’s changing the discussion.” (Wired)
“Bumble offers an alternative that prioritises meaningful connections, with women calling the shots:” (UK Sunday Times)
“Bumble rejects hate speech to make users feel safe on its dating app” (Texas Standard)
“What makes Bumble different from other dating apps...is its focus on giving women all the power. ” (Business Insider)

The concept is good but
justanaveragefemale on 5/23/2018
I’ve gone out of my way to talk to men and it could be the fact that we are required to message first, but they treat me as a last resort. Im attractive and out going but I can tell they are unavailable and stringing it along. Don’t waste your time ladies. That’s my experience
kydenise on 5/23/2018
everything about this app so extremely amazing and it’s so much better than any other dating app or site. my only problem is that i don’t always get my notifications if someone messages me back but otherwise like i said it’s a great app.
MominAZ on 5/22/2018
This App doesn’t seem to have very many participants like other social apps. Disappointing...
Extremely dissatisfied
mnschmitz on 5/22/2018
I’m barely 24 hours in and already want my money back. I’ve matched with many good looking men all of who admired me first but I’m not sure they are even real people. Having to go through the whole rematching process because we are all too busy to respond ASAP is obnoxious and confusing. The whole expiring conversation thing is extremely juvenile. We live in a world where everything has to be rushed and if we don’t get an immediate response we lose our minds. Also, almost every man feels the need to disclose his height in his bio?!?! Seems like extreme hypocrisy to me that girls want this “feminist,” no-judgment safe place to meet men but they judge men based off of their height. Price is outrageous. It’s a one time charge even though they advertise monthly payments but that’s on me for being naive and ignorant.
Feels like pay to play
crapisthatmyface on 5/22/2018
Seriously I love the concept of this app but honestly don’t think it really tries to match you with anyone unless you’re paying for it. It’s either that or it’s not being heavily used by people. In either case it doesn’t seem to provide a good amount of matches for the time spent swiping. I’m hoping it’ll improve over time but I really hoping it’s the app and not my face that’s keeping the likes from showing up XD
No good for men over 55
DPDX10 on 5/22/2018
No good for guys older than 55 and worse if you’re over 60. I wonder if perhaps ladies that age just aren’t acclimated to “going first.”
Be careful of clicking Bumble Boost
beaurec on 5/22/2018
For those with iPhone Touch ID, just a warning that this app has a strategically placed Bumble boost button that if you hit accidentally automatically subscribes you for a 6 month plan ($79.99!) which you can’t cancel. Had to send a request to App Store to get refunded...unbelievable.
Better Than Most
Mollyland on 5/22/2018
When I first signed up, I got several matches with classy men, but it’s gone downhill lately. It has totally become a Tinder (hookup app)! I wish I could find a dating site that supports ONLY those looking for the real deal. (Maybe you could add “Bumble Love” as an option in addition to “Bumble Date”, “Bumble Biz” and “Bumble Friend” or whatever they’re called. Lol My biggest pet peeve about this app is that it tells you that the guy is located in my city, but it doesn’t tell you that they don’t LIVE HERE. It’s gotten to the point that I can’t even use the app on the weekends because it’s full of men who are staying in hotels looking for a hook up. I am not interested in a one night stand. I wish I could tell if the men who are showing up in my feed from my town or not. Matching and chatting with them is a major waste of my time. If this is supposed to be an app that caters to WOMEN, I don’t see why it would match me with guys who live 1000 miles away. Most women aren’t looking for a quick “fix”, and those who are should go to Tinder. There really needs to be a feature that says where they live in addition to where they are currently located. That would save me from a wasted swipe right. I also wish I could have a little more room to write my bio. I do like how the photos are verified. I don’t get many fake profiles. That’s nice. I also like the style, photo size, and organization of the app.
BitchyBite on 5/22/2018
Feels like amateur hour when using. No real content. Interface is not intuitive. I got so frustrated within 20 minute of using it that I simply deleted this garbage off my phone. Total disappointment. I have ZERO idea what the hype is about. None. SMH....
Don’t be too aggressive
Mduane on 5/22/2018
So I was banned from this because I used the line “sit on my face” 😂 most girls thought it was funny and it broke the ice. Anyway actually met my ex girlfriend through this app other then being banned it’s a great way to make friends and date. I still prefer tinder only because more people use it and you’re likely to get more matches.
Bumble blows...
yellowkiwi on 5/22/2018
If you were hoping for an app with better looking people, people serious about developing and starting long term relationships, and an app that seriously screens and narrows down the pickings to people that actually match your qualifications and must haves then sorry to break it to ya but this is NOT the app for you. While it’s entertaining and time killing to swipe through thousands of profiles hoping to meet Mr. Right more often then not it’s more like meeting Mr. Right NOW. Because the majority of users I have matched with and met in person are just one stop shopping for a hopeful hookup. Or worse yet, they are just wasting your time with meaningless texts on the app instead of in person. The app also on many occasions has fed me potential matches of people I work with and know personally (come on why would I want to date my agent or photographer 🤢) On top of this - the app is constantly resending me people I already swiped left on like 16 times ( didn’t you get the message the first few times!!) and not diversifying the pool of potential suitors. The app also doesn’t do a good job of narrowing down matches that fit what I want looks/job/location wise - ex. I’m NOT interested in fat or short guys, black or Spanish guys, guys already in relationships (yep their on here), guys located outside of NYC (unless I’m using the app while traveling), guys that don’t have a bio on their profile, guys without steady employment, etc. Also the pictures approved for a lot of these profiles is ridiculous- blurred, guys with girls in pic or posing as movie stars that passed away, group shots as head pic, pics with significant other, etc. I think it would be loads better if the app: 1. Specified single, in an open relationship, divorced, etc. 2. Matches you only with people that Fit what you want looks wise: ex: blonde, blue/green eyes, 5’11+, Caucasian, etc 3. Requires users to write an about me blurb 4. Sends NEW matches and not old ones you swiped left on. 5. Requires clear shots that are not blurred and do contain contain other people 6. Specified if user is looking for hookup only, short term, long term, open, etc 7. Alerts you better of new matches and leaves the window of time open longer to contact. 8. Filters messages to who you went out with already vs potential suitors. 9. Allows users to mark - “just met someone”or “still looking” so other potential matches know where they stand 10. Does not delete old convos of users that unmatched after matching.
Great dating app but could use some minor changes
Bsuuee on 5/22/2018
Love using Bumble the most! Definitely the best dating app for women since our inboxes aren’t constantly bombarded with unwanted emails. However one small feature that should be changed would be when you message someone for the first time, you should be able to still view their profile until they message you back (or time expires).
Russeljt on 5/22/2018
Now that I don’t need Facebook to use this app I can get in here and see that it’s easy to use as and has lots of options, more than just dating I mean, and is an overall excellent app. Thanks!
Terrible is an understatement
Eat happy customer on 5/22/2018
No filters to narrow down the search except by age / location. Advertised as free but totally paid service. Customer service takes a week to respond. Total rip off.
WAY too many notifications
93notes on 5/22/2018
Bumble constantly sends these tedious motivational push notifications, and I could not stand it anymore. Couldn’t turn them off in case I missed something important from an actual human. Whole app deleted.
Sends you annoying messages from bumble.
thecodemachine on 5/22/2018
Can the bumble people stop sending me messages like “you’re great, keep swiping” during work! I even turned them off and I keep getting them. I get several a day.
Saguaro Pine Tree on 5/22/2018
I don’t think even Tatum would have enough ultimatum to stand a chance here. Just another fashion show where swiping right only increases feminine morale. Yay, the glass ceiling is gone but is it? I don’t think so. I think it just changed ballparks because adult males who are single and putting themselves out there are now oppressed under the canopy. But us men brought this on ourselves. I said we’re under a canopy because the oppressed woman saw a way out of their manacles and I don’t think us men can even see daylight. Have a swiping good time!
Stop showing me distance matches
cccccccollin on 5/22/2018
It's incredibly annoying to see a blurred match outside of my desired distance. There should be an opt-in or opt-out feature to show matches outside your desired distance because I have no desire to drive over 2 hours to meet anyone.
BooyaShakah on 5/22/2018
First, it’s obvious that Bumble front-loads the most-popular, “right-swiped” profiles (ex: the most attractive girls). Second, it’s highly suspicious to match with a good number of people, but then never get any messages. Why should I pay for this lame, probably phony experience?
Lovely L 28 on 5/22/2018
The concept of Bumble is good because of the different searches(friends, dating and jobs) but here’s the catch: you have 24 hours for your match to get in contact with you. If you upgrade then you don’t have a time limit. (I guess)
BFF useless junk
Xmasbuns on 5/22/2018
I tried it. They lure you into buying subscription so you can chat with someone. But their bff section has pretty much no activity. Really different than their dating side. DO NOT BUY! Do not even bother signing up!! Save yourself and go to meetup events. Update: waste of money. I had to subscribe in order to connect. There’s no refund on this crap. Do not buy!!
Spent 60 bucks
Luiis325 on 5/22/2018
Spent the 60 bucks for the 6 months or year subscription. Have had a total of two matches for a whole year of having this app. You can swipe for eternity and possibility of getting is match is slim to non. I wish I could get my refund as this was not worth paying for premium service. For future people I would recommend just signing up for meet up in your local community or else where you prob will have more luck at finding and matching with someone and you can work on your social skills. But I would not recommend this to a friend.
Bad news Bumble bees, you’re worse than Tinder.
Jmsmithson on 5/22/2018
Hands-down one of the worst, if not worst, experiences I’ve had with customer support on any app, not just a dating app. They don’t make the terms and conditions clear, then they charge you for automated subscriptions that they refuse to reverse. I’ve been having a back-and-forth with their customer support team for a long time over $49.99 that they charged me and refuse to refund. They have no phone number, and they keep sending canned responses to my emails. It’s pretty pathetic for an app to have to make money by tricking customers into subscriptions. And on top of that, their features are fake marketing. Nothing but smoke and mirrors. Bumble boost doesn’t even do anything, and they want to charge you $50 a month for it without your permission. Bad news Bumble bees, you’re no better and actually worse than Tinder.
Verification and Response
GarreBear.inc on 5/21/2018
I really like how Bumble is more hands on with marking sure catfishes aren’t getting through and you have a window to talk to people!
Bad Algorithm
Ascvghtyrewq on 5/21/2018
Algorithm not working well
Ripoff Artists -Charged me even though I didn’t order
booooqu on 5/21/2018
Charged me even though I didn’t order - now I’m stuck with a $79.00 bill. Stay away form them. You can’t cancel it in iTunes either
Removed a picture for a dumb reason
MikeyC95 on 5/21/2018
This app removed a picture of mine for holding a gun. Do not download this app.
Good App!
Jahnquesha on 5/21/2018
This app is great!
Add a Maybe Feature?
Ginger-Snapz on 5/21/2018
I wish I could browse without having to say yes or no right away. Possibly have a “maybe” button.
is this the best we can do on 5/21/2018
So disappointing
What you’re looking for add in
Ohheybay on 5/21/2018
It would be a time saver if you knew what the person was looking for before you matched instead of matching having a full convo then realize you’re not looking for the same thing.
Kristinvandy22 on 5/21/2018
I feel like everyone just uses this app for getting instagram /snap chat followers. Unfortunate . Will be deleting
Love Bumble
Chairman Szn on 5/21/2018
Love It , More Real People Up Here
hdysaplm on 5/21/2018
Few connections, few conversations. Seems average for a dating site - nothing special.
Thank you Bumble.
Ktplayswithfire on 5/21/2018
With about 20% of marriages happening from online dating, I’m so happy there is a popular app that lets women take the initiative. I met my partner on Bumble in January. He’s broken down all the walls that I built around my heart due to other bad experiences & WE both couldn’t be happier in our relationship. I’m a “we”! Thanks Bumble!
Terrible time frames
jeremywilliam on 5/21/2018
Things should not be timed and chats should be allowed sooner!
Needs som bug fixing
Annjanea on 5/21/2018
The GPS is off. I only have my search for up to 15 miles but Im getting people that are like 40+ miles away. It’s pretty annoying to match with someone so far. Also, the message area could use bug fixes. The messages dont send, it shows double texts (even if they actually aren’t) and sometimes my chats disappear all together despite both of us talking to each other. I enjoy it besides that.
Awful app
Domonique715 on 5/21/2018
Horrible customer service horrible app. It won’t allow me to use one of my photos as my main display photo and it says because I have to be visibly in the photo when it’s actually an HD professional close up picture of me and only me. Their block feature doesn’t even work, I’ve blocked the same family member over 10 times and they still keep popping up, they say he’s making multiple accounts but he isn’t. Possibly the worst app I’ve ever used. Their customer service is beyond awful and they don’t even bother responding. There’s potential in this app but it has so so many issues.
Bumble Bizz
dvsxoxo on 5/20/2018
While I absolutely love the integrated features of bumble Bizz in the app - I find it runs out of potential people to swipe on so quick
Crap App
Dee Berry on 5/20/2018
Makes you pay for everything. You can't even send messages or read messages without paying. App deleted, useless.
Tinder is actually better
Mariah277 on 5/20/2018
Take it from me as a girl who has had multiple Tinder dates and has a lot of matches. The app having girls message first puts pressure on the girl to do all the footwork. When you do message guys, all they have to say is “hi how are you” and it never goes anywhere. The guys on bumble are a lot better looking and seem to be more career based, which any women would want. But they’re almost all muscle heads who don’t know how to initiate or maintain conversation. The concept of girls being able to “control the conversation” is admirable, but doesn’t work in the long run. It almost seems as if guys don’t feel they have to court you because the app is based on the girls initiation. Have been on for months and have yet to meet anybody. Don’t bother with bumble
Wish APP worked better.
gdghfdfbhggddvhhf on 5/20/2018
I like it when it’s working. Even when I IPhone is hooked up to WiFi the wheels just spin. Messages don’t come through till late. Makes it hang to keep a conversation going. Please fix your APP.
Rad7878 on 5/20/2018
I’m not getting many connections. I accidentally try to log off and it canceled my account. I just want to benefit from internet luxury of dating.
123456789brando on 5/20/2018
Not enough live action.. women don’t respond as much as you think they would at least for my own experiences. Tinder is better
Danielleoxox on 5/20/2018
I like the app, but it would be nice if Bumble could stop sending me push notifications every two hours talking about the app or whatever. What happened to only one of those every few days and a notification only when someone messages/matches with you?
Do better, Bumble
SirScruffy on 5/20/2018
Positive: It's not as obnoxious and terrible as the Facebook app. Negatives: It's more obnoxious and badly programmed than just about any other app. - They love vague updates. They hate writing release notes saying what the updates actually do, which usually means you can't tell what it did at all - They love not fixing bugs that have been present for way too long. Good luck with timestamps--a message you got five minutes ago will say yesterday. Good luck with timer circles on matches--the only way they update is if the app gets force closed and restarted. Good luck with distance preferences--they will be frequently ignored by the app - Obvious fake profiles ALWAYS manage to make it right to the top of the stack. That's convenient. I'm in a major metro area but the odds of that many single lawyers who also model who live here are slim. - Profiles will repeat. Even if you swipe left you can end up seeing that person again. You can block them and you could still end up seeing them again. - They will spam your notifications hardcore with needy appeals to open the app constantly like they get paid by the view. I can't recall an app that will abuse your notifications with more irrelevant and promotional crap than Bumble. Stop it. Tell me I have a match or a message. Otherwise leave me alone. The service itself is okay, I'm not complaining about the number of matches I get or the quality of the people, that will be hit or miss depending who you are or where you are, but the app itself looks to be managed by disinterested morons who sit in marketing brainstorming meetings telling themselves they're great without bothering to check if the programming execution is decent.
Great app
zf1669 on 5/20/2018
I honestly liked the app until I get an email saying I’m not old enough to use it. I’m 24 years old and that’s what my Facebook says. It was so weird how it randomly kicked me out and wouldn’t let me use it
Pool of Women
Ant1706 on 5/20/2018
One match every three months. Thus a waste of time.
Not so great...
ShadowXL97 on 5/20/2018
This seemed like a really cool app in which women are active and looking for someone, however ive come to the conclusion that this app must be at least half fake profiles and 40% single use profiles. Maybe 10% of the women on here are active users and i stress the word maybe. I literally only matched with one woman in a 20mile radius after months and months of swiping. Now, im no prince charming, but id argue im a pretty average looking man, not to bad, not amazing. And to match with only one woman after all that time and over that distance? Yeahhhhh... no. This app is pure crap, dont spend money on it cause you wont get it back and its not worth it in the least. This app is basically just a money milking machine with just barely enough real profiles to be called a dating app and not a bot app. Search elsewhere my fellow lonely millenials, or just ask out a man or woman you like in person, they may just say yes. Your chances are better in real life though than on here. Good luck everyone!
Privacy violating ** garbage **
itistoday on 5/20/2018
Besides the obvious bits (Facebook integration, demanding your phone number), this app requires that you enable location services to determine your location. Screw you, developers. I will stick with OkCupid.
