This app has been extremely useful in my experience. It kept me challenged, and moving forward where I might have otherwise fallen off. My goals are my own, and this has helped guide me through and find maybe not the best way to do things, but one that I can accomplish, and stay on track. I have really enjoyed the lessons and strategy as well as the guided meditation.

The 10% Happier app helps!! Short “lessons” that are consistent with other things I’ve read, but concise and accessible, followed by brief guided meditations - that work! I’ve done 3 so far, just having started, but I feel refreshed, calm and marginally more mindful after doing them. Will definitely keep trying to make time each day or two for this. We’ll see what happens in a few days when it stops being free...

I am not a beginner but I’m also not an expert but I have spent the last hour looking through the app and meditating. I think this a good to help with stress and just learning to be aware of what’s going on in your body and the senses from out of the body. I have not purchased the app. I believe it would be worth it just because of how informative and exploratory of different types of meditation while also giving a bit of an interlude to each meditator and the purpose of that particular meditation. And if your short on time there is also the option to just meditate. I wish I could get the full app right now

Dan Harris is irreverent and kind and has gathered teachers who are both excellent and helpful. Thank you Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg and many others. Use this app as your meditation guide. It’s not about seeing the golden light within but about our real non stop chatterbox minds. Extraordinary.

The thought of meditation has always scared me. I’ve always felt like I can’t relax enough for that. I can’t clear my mind. My mind is so busy, worrying about this or that. 10% happier has honestly made me feel so much better these past couple of days. I just wish it was a little cheaper. I feel like I need to be guided for something that’s so simple but seems so complicated.

I’ve been meditating regularly for about 6 months - including a weekly group meditation. I wish I had this program from the beginning. It doesn’t take a lot of time and it has concise short lessons. It is extremely helpful for the beginner and a nice supplement for an advanced beginner like me.

I’m having trouble signing in. I keep giving permission to sign in with Facebook, confirming to sign in with FB, and then then goes right back to the sign in screen. Can’t get to the content. I’d rather not create an account but may have to.

I have used a mantra before in meditation I like the change of focusing on the body or breathing as an alternative. This is easy and a nice change for me. Anyone can do this. When I open my eyes after 5 minutes of focusing, I can tell I have been in another state. Thank you

I got this app thinking it was a trial, but then I was charged $ 87 8 days later for a subscription! I’m trying to fight it, but getting a message saying I’m ineligible for refund! I’m very upset, 10% Happier; no way!
Great material but very frustrating to find what you want in it

This would be my absolute only go to app, love the material, but Lord it really requires practicing the acceptance of the feeling of frustration! You get to practice with that emotion every time when you try to find a particular meditation, the app is a chaos, you are forced to scroll through videos and titles galore. Does not maintain a reasonable history, you cant remove the meditations you never want to listen to, no play list or any sort of opportunity to customize or organize meditations for your own self. It is also frustrating that you cant separate the instructions, so every single time you have to listen to the sometimes lengthy instructions on the meditation you have done 50 times already. Accepting that is a practice in and of itself. Absolutely wonderful material, and I hate to unsubscribe because I love the amazing work they do, but cant stick with having to constantly sort through it and not be able to just organize or remove the ones you dont want, the screen is so busy. Not even a search option, so if you want to see a particular video, or search for meditations by one particular teacher, by all means, do sit down and take a deep breath before starting to look for it.

After trying numerous times to build a meditation practice, first on my own and then through apps such as Headspace, I can say that 10% Happier is the best fit for me and I would definitely recommend it to my friends. I’ve had the app almost one month and have done at least one meditation per day, and usually one before falling asleep. I love the variety of coaches and the varying lengths and themes of the meditations. Having a meditation tracker is a nice reminder of how much time I’ve put into this practice, and after 537 minutes I’m happy to say that it has improved the quality of my life and daily routine, and this is just week 3.5. It’s particularly helpful to have different types of practices for different mind states like difficult emotions, gratitude and winding down for sleep. I’m also enjoying the courses like Meditation for Skeptics. I also would recommend this app for people who might have had a meditation practice and then trailed off. Ten years ago I was an avid meditator, so this time around getting back into it I had all sorts of frustrations because I was in such a different place. I found this particular app to be helpful for such a situation, as the quality, positivity and variety of meditations and courses allowed me to ease in and have a lighter heart about the whole thing. Highly recommend!

I don't know that I can claim very many apps are life changing, but this one is. The videos are well produced and the teachers are top notch. I don't just meditate, I am learning, and I'm seeing the positive impact in my life- even after only a month. Such a valuable tool. ☺
Great way to start in small bits at a time!

10% Happier app is excellent. It has allowed me to learn more about meditation in small increments. I have not done the in app purchase for the subscription yet, but as much as I have enjoyed the simple 3, 5 & 10 minute guiding meditations, I’ll be a subscriber soon enough. I am working on making it a habit to arrive 5-15 minutes early for certain appointments, such as yoga, client meetings and family-friend gatherings. I sit in my truck and play a guided meditation from 10% Happier, and I noticeably feel more relaxed, less anxiety and happier!

I loved the book and I love the content I can access for free. However, $80 a year is just to expensive for me. That leaves me very disappointed. I wish there was a lower level subscription for some content, not all. Otherwise, I would rate it 5 Stars.

When I got the app I didn’t know it was just a trial and that I would be locked into a yearly subscription. It’s one thing to sign me up for a month, but a year? Not good business. Makes me not want to use it.

This meditation comes at a perfect time in my life. A new empty nester. Taking a Life Skills class to better myself, learn new ways to be in control of emotions and learn how to understand what the emotions I am feeling..which is all ok. Came home to find this wonderful mindfulness meditation video. This is a first for me, Julie, someone always on the go, how can my brain slowdown to meditate...but this is perfect timing in my life to learn a new skill. Stress affects your body. It can hurt you if you don’t relax. I am truly enjoying the mindfulness meditation and I will continue to learn more.
